Hilditch & Key are pretty much the best shirts in London and reasonably priced.

Find one with a complex pattern and check how they match it perfectly at every seam. They also sell button cuffs so you can wear them with jumpers.

As for Cufflinks or Buttons? It is always buttons unless it's a very formal occasion or you are a footballer.
