  • Call me an ole' fart, cant beat a Belstaff leather

  • You can. Classic Belstaff Waxed Cotton.

  • Wandsworth Borough Council did a lovely donkey jacket fall/winter '05

  • OG English Belstaff? That Italian muck is shocking... OG Barbour is even nicer, before they started messing about with all this countryside/Lord of the Manor bollocks... It's motorcycle wear FFS...

  • Aint been in town for a while, used to have an original wax NOS, got a great Che laether one

  • Some new geezer's taken over from Massimo Osti..saw some good shit about it the other day-not so 'footy-casual' orientated hopefully

I was issued with a set of the original jacked and trousers back in the day. Epic kit and no mistake.

  • Still got it, used to bus' it on me vespa at the Endurance

  • The strides had a mental tartan lining..

  • the collars on the originals always sat/sit slightly lopsided if buttoned right up to the top. modern pretenders have no excuse, especially if they are charging fashion prices.
the collar on the paul smith jacket looks like its taking something from japanese workwear and adding it to what i thought was a british classic for the sake of it. subtle changes on the inside would have been enough.

  • Can't find any pictures but I remember some Joe Casely Hayford loafers that were the most beautiful objects of anything ever; the leather had been hand carved by some old feller in Northampton in the same way Brooks saddles have been done recently but these were ridiculously complex patterns.

    Worst cycling team presentation evar

  • Saw some good Ally Cappelino workwear/bags in Antwerp., that stuff about in London?

I spy mashton, maxcrowe, superprecise, pisti, illy, loic...

  • @TS - Frank Schleck looks like an emaciated Markyboy

  • that picture could have worked. the shudder would have been worse had they been sporting cov knots.
    @adoubletap like these or better?

  • Balki will love those^

  • @coppithat they were moccasin style loafers in plain brown really thick leather but with all kind of fleur dy lys intricate patterns carved into them

  • hope you manage to find an image of them

  • Balki will love those^

    Horrendous

  • you can get Ally Cappelino in liberty amongs other places.

  • Anyone been into Pokit? my gf got a really nice shirt there a few years back and i've been meaning to go look. I also have a strange urge to go see the stuff Kiton are doing. I can't explain this, it must be good pr/marketing.

...and, on the subject of books. Anyone liking the Rin Tanaka books? They sell them in lewis leathers among other places. If so and you fancy getting some a bit cheaper (they are about 55 quid in lewis) I'm putting in a little wholesale order and could add you in. Depending on title they would be about 50 dollars, landed. Well, ported as it's cheaper, but it does take about a month and a half to arrive. his site is here:

  • I love a man in a great suit (a dinner jacket combined to jeans is sometimes completely enough and totally adequate too) - it makes every man appear strong, elegant, sexy and totally masculine. Men in suits are a complete turn on because their appearance seems more confident and self-aware, which I love, because I somehow feel belonging to the guy and protected being by his side.
