  • that looks like 'The Cat' aka Danny John Jules from Red Dwarf!

  • Was thinking of the pair on the left myself :)

    sold out

  • that looks like 'The Cat' aka Danny John Jules from Red Dwarf!

That's François, lovely guy, owns a shop in Camden, DJ in part-time.
We used to Dj in the same bar. Definitely a stylish man.

  • That's a sofa. wait a min...

  • and more here

    these look wrong

  • Windsor knot or go home.

Or preferably not wear a tie, the symbolic shackle of society's ignorance.

  • They used to do LL in Duffer about 8/9 yrs ago, couldn't give it away. Too specialist for the average bone'ead

    Great clobber though

  • I'm with multi on this one, I've abdicated any sense of being fashionable since I've been riding the bike, sweat too much, so I've got to roll with a change of top in the bag. But I'm a dapper man if i say so myself and would love to be rocking some stylish quality wear on the bike, that didn't get soaked to fuck with sweat or stink to high heaven even when you wash them.

I'm in the Market for a couple of good suits, lover of moleskin me, went upto see a tailor on islington recommended by q fashionable friend of mine, tailor was called Charlie Allen, we discussed a bespoke suit but I never got round to getting it made. Bought a suit from William hunt, but the crotch of the trousers had been eaten out by moths, so only the jacket is any good. I did love that suit.
Apart from that got a friend that swears by tk maxx, as he got a load of Oswald boateng suits from them dirt cheap relatively and got Oswald to tweak them for him.
There was a documetary on Oswald boateng on bbc4 I think where he was talking about a black tailor operating on saville row, who'd kept the old name of the shop in homage to the old geezer that first gave him a chance as a tailor. Can't remember the name of it, got it written down somewhere but when I get some funds would like to get a suit from there.
Also was thinking about doing that hong kong tailor thing, but again moneys innit.

Apart from that fashions for Bollocks! Find out what suits you and buy two. Take no notice of high fashion and couture as it's a nonsense, see something you like, appropriate it like the rest of modern western society and adapt it to your ethos. I've got some tops that I used to wear way back when I'm thinking I might break them out and see if they've weathered well.

Coppithat and jonny for dapperest men on bikes that I've seen...

  • Charlie Allen = MASSIVE Gooner, sound fella, drinks in my local and designed the England WC kit

His brother Jonny works at Huntsman on Savile Row

  • Oswald Boateng?!

  • Coppithat and jonny for dapperest men on bikes that I've seen...

    Chirs Carsh?

  • i have always admired paul smith for what he did for menswear but was left with a sour taste in my mouth when i met the owner of lewis leathers and he told me about paul smith ripping of his jacket and logo never ever paying anything in royalties or even communicating with them. it was so brazen i had always thought it was a genuine collaboration.look at the jacket logo. bad form from a knight of the relm.

  • that tailor on savile row is andrew ramroop. maurice sedwell is the original tailor.

    Great clobber though

I remember that, I flinched at the time cuz I knew no one'd buy it... Fortunately for LL, Japan is still a very good market...

  • Coppi, why is it I'm not surprised that you know that information.
@ pisti never said I was a great fan of Oswald, though I'll probably buy one of his suits as I like to support those who are darker than blue whenever I can.
And on another note, be careful how you phrase your pronouncements, I've a feeling the inhabitants of this thread won't be as forgiving of your FACTS! And statements as we are in the football thread.

And in answer to your statement about chris crash, he'd may become one of the dapperest men on a bike of we ever saw him on a bike and stopped doing a you and telling everyone what they should and shouldn't wear.

On a different note a friend of mine swears by tiger of Sweden.
Made me by him some shirts over in Stockholm the last time I was there after they'd closed their floral st branch

  • Windsor knot or go home.

Or preferably not wear a tie, the symbolic shackle of society's ignorance.

    Double windsor

    Que??

Also, if you wanna support the 'brothers', go back and see Charlie Allen, or his brother Jonny @ Huntsman

    Boateng suits are shite

  • I have a few Boateng pieces from TK Maxx.

    Decent quality.

Stay away from the purple, red or 3/4 length jackets even if you think you can pull it off.

  • the name behind the stir of last year

    **

Asda to sell ‘Savile Row’ suit by Charlie Allen for £79
    **

  • As if. He probably sat in an office for 2 weeks, told them how to get a Savile Row 'looking' suit by using certain cuts/patterns/shape, got paid a shitload of money, licensed them his name then they got a load of Vietnamese kids to knock them up

  • ................

Stay away from the 3/4 length jackets unless you're a footballer getting married.

    snipped and draped

  • You can actually get away with a slim-knot with a double-windsor, and a sensible length of tie left underneath too - doesn't need to be bulky knot/stubby length, that's a dreadful look, even by a footballer's standards
