Birmingham Bike Polo Chat & BS Thread

Went to measure up the space for Flatpack. The room is an upside-down L shape and we've got the choice of a few different areas. The best two were,

1)The top right is just big enough for a small 2v2 or goalie game but it's a bit out of the way; requires 12m of boards.
2)If it's sunny all the other bike stalls may be outside so we could have the longer section; requires 2x8m sections of board.

Who's got the good 30cm high drilled boards?

Matt? or Dan? We'd need Dan to get them with his car anyway.

Damn. I'll probably be working. I'll see what I can do to get out for a few hours though, and I'm guessing it will go on into the evening?

Let me know if you want some boards. and Ideally how many. I can then let my dad know that you're going to collect them. they're 1200mm (1.2m) long if i remember correctly, 440mm high

At most 16. That's if we had to build 2 sets of barriers.

I'm off 28th, working 29th/30th so factor that in if you need me to collect/drop off.

We'll need wood to prop them up with too, right?

Should be able to help drive stuff if needed on the friday as its Bank Holiday! and can help build stuff.

I'm getting a back piece so I don't have to leave any of them off.

I'm going to be clearing out my shed this Friday* so if anyone has space for them and wants to keep them whole, let me know ASAP and I'll bring them round. Otherwise I'll chop 'em up into three pieces and stick them in my loft.

If anyone has a specific desire for how/where they should be chopped, can they let me know.

Also (not joking) we received an email enquiry about hosting stag-do groups at polo sessions. Check it out. If someone wanted to run with it, we/they could potentially charge and it'd be a nice little earner for someone or for BHBPA. Having said that, I'm not interested. At all.

By way of an update, in case anyone wants any of it and to placate anyone who thinks I'm being unduly whiny about storage, I have the following BHBPA stuff at mine:

Cones x 4
c50 Le Coq Musettes
c1000 zip ties
a couple of t-shirts (xxxxxs or womens or both or something)
aluminium goal bases
c4 planks of board (enough to plug the gaps at highgate)
our new Lucas-Goals

did we also recieve a T-shirt order? i don't have the password for that.
