How the fuck did you inbed that Fin, I tried to do it in the Polo Events thread and wouldn't work?!
Can someone help me get a fucking Randonneur on my back wheel? I've been trying for half an hour, I'm close to tears, all I want to do is play polo but it's too tight/I'm not strong enough?!?!?!?

Also what do people think about heading to august critical mass on our polo bikes with flyers?
-
• #1234
I think that's an excellent idea.
-
• #1235
Really good idea. Andy, Matt, me and possibly Neil won't be there though :(
I gave up tonight, my hands are red raw and I worked myself up into a right rager! Can't even solo polo tomorrow because I'm sans mallet. FML.

Matt can you send me the Brum Bike Polo logo please? Also the photos from today? Am I right in thinking there's no Birmingham Bike Polo email address? Thinking it would be more pro to email venues from one?

Goals
MG - I can drop them off at yours any time tomorrow (pretty much). Any good?
I have a few old balls (too light for playing with) for the tops.
We still need: closer weave net, washers (EMM providing), one more noodle (tri-dork_LJ providing)
When all is said and done, they should be transportable by car (maximum of one passenger), and will only require an 8mm allen key to dismantle. I just don't have anywhere to store them.

Roughly how much floor space do they take up (if dissassembled and stacked neatly). I have a space in my back garden about 1x2m walled on threee sides that I could rig a tarpaulin over. I could get you a key cut to the gate and then you could access them whenever you want. Doesn't require me to be in when you pick them up. Need to get a tarp from somewhere though.

I have blue Zoodle. I'll hole it and bring along wednesday.
Netting – I think our best bet is cricket netting, would need to measure the goals once we have the washers but think a 9ft wide x4ft high piece cut in to should do? http://www.networld-sports.co.uk/product_100-2-28_Cricket-Nets-%28per-foot%29.htm. Should be less than £10.

Stu - if they are disassembled they don't take up too much space. Hard to describe dimensions, but check them out at polo.
LJ - can you just order some, and hit us up for money? A few feet over isn't going to matter too much.

Dan I'm back from work around 4pm. If they're going in my basement, some tarp or something to put on the floor would be good as it's a bit damp down there.
-
• #1245
To be honest, I may as well just keep them at mine until they're finished at least. Can disassemble and keep them in the shed and bring them out a few times per month on Sundays.
If somebody else starts playing who comes down by car, then maybe we can rotate custodianship.

Erm..its Aluminium..damp will not affect it...be sweet. (unless you are...not at work...be fine =) )
-
• #1247
Mould will though!
No worries Dan.

I won't be back in Brum properly til October, but the offer is there if you need a new space in a few months. Dan, if you find you really need to shift them I can post a key up to you and let my housemates know what's going on. Most polo people have been round my garden so they know the deal with the access.
By the way, if anyone is coming from Brum for the London Open and doesn't know anyone they can stay with in London could they please say so? I can accommodate but probably not all. Depends how many.
