Unused since the internal structure collapsed many years ago. The local astro club now uses a less glamorous shed along the hedge from there.

I do always enjoy this exoplanet stuff, even if it's very tentative in this case:

You’re too kind - but I am hoping for some decent shots with this camera in due course (second hand from a YACFer, as is the lens)

The very first video of another planet. Absolutely stunning. NASA have gone big on the pr for this rover.

Not sure its any different from normal. Technology has move on since the last rover. Plus the more PR that goes into the more funding they get. And with SpaceX reinvigorating space exploration and Mars, theres a chance to get some seriously big bucks now.
Actual video footage on another planet rocks me. I keep thinking to myself, this is a new planet. Not Earth. Never been seen before like this. We might even get to see the first man on Mars... So cool

The future of humanity right there.

Yup! It’s decided to have a lie down.
Particularly love #2, why unused? Get amongst it!
Set my Pixel 5 up on a tripod tonight, it seems to work... I'll get out and take some shots from the beach on a dark night, should be stars everywhere!! Happy new year, sky dorks!! ðŸ”🌌ðŸŒ
