Cheers, I'll give them a call - they only have an 11 available online

My other consideration is to turn an older pair of Tod's chukka into a homage to the Paraboots I want - been in contact Kokos for a quote - new welt, Vibram sole unit similar to the Para one, pony fur for the toe/tongue - though they might look a bit pony, who knows

Either would be a strong look! I do really like the lairier Paraboots and had been eyeing up their raphia model a year or two back for summer wear.

now they are punchy!

£100 for the soles, £20 for new midsole, and £20 for speedhooks
(Or there abouts)Midsoles were due to swapping from white to black soles, but was optional.
Defo cost more than the boots did originally (£95 bargain many moons ago)

Brogue boot ideally

as I say, not much help as not sure who does deeper across a whole brand - I'd go and try on the usual suspects - Trickers, Loake etc

If you’re gonna go cow, go full cow.

Oh those really are special!

Yeah - there was a pair of those on here a while back I’m still thinking about - they’re just a bit too much - the (what’s the bit called) toe and tongue are everyday edgy enough for me

go full cow
Probably goat or pony!

Both generally more durable than cow, pony would be a lot more costly as well.

Hip store are very good for returns etc. I've ordered paraboots from them before and wasn't sure on size. iirc the return / refund process worked really well.

I'm after some Black leather Chelsea boots under £150, triple welt.
I already have Gant Brookly Chelsea Boot Brown Suede which I love the profile of and may pip for the black pair. I like the toe box as it's not flat and narrow as with many Chelsea Boots.
Any alternative recommendations out there?

the Gant boots aren't triple welted... in fact they're not welted at all!
Grenson 'invented' the triple welt - so take a look at them, though you're probably going to be lucky to find them for £150 unless there's a sale on somewhere
Loake Chatsworth are a classic Chelsea boot shape for me - maybe not what you're looking for though - these Loake fit the bill? - https://www.jonesbootmaker.com/products/mccauley-leather-chelsea-boots-loa36500-322-815?gclid=Cj0KCQiA99ybBhD9ARIsALvZavWfsjYptw5W0wTqaw8UZApNL8h22GLnzH2eRclpt6Qa231AEjJBCx8aAi_GEALw_wcB&variant=39858930286655
Otherwise RM Williams off Vestiaire or ebay etc might be possible

Thanks - I am sure the Gant ones I have are. They have the undersole stitching for resoling....while typing I'm sure I'm just using the wrong terminology.
To this end, it not nessisarilly a triple welt I'm after but a Goodyear Welt as a minimum...

The Gant boot you linked to looks like a glued sole with a fake welt. Not much value for that kinda money. You get 2nd hand RM Williams on ebay for £150
edit: as below, no intent to offend at all. Just think there's better value shoes out there but if you like em, that's all that matters

These are nearing the end of their service, but I'm struggling to find their replacements.
They are Septieme Largeur, but I want something slightly better as I think they use plastic in the toe caps and heel counters. I'm still cheap though.
Please ignore the laces.

Went to see the Paraboot in the flesh, they didn’t have my size in the colour I was after sadly, ah well…

Did Paraboot used to have a store on Avery Row? Not far from the iron duke.
I bought a pair of shoes there for my dad like 15+ years ago and he’s suddenly remembered that he’d love another pair but I’ve literally no clue what brand they were, just that they were a French brand.

Crockett & Jones Coniston’s look quite similar and are really nice. Can recommend.
