  • Thank goodness a list was made of the GOOD leather shoemakers, before the nasties showed up. Someone will be extolling the virtues of clogs next. Brilliant.

    Paraclogs are where its at

  • I was more referring to the brogues that at least two shoemakers are selling for £3,000.oo!!
    I kid you not.

Yeah THE John Lobb (not the Hermes owned ones) only make bespoke, quite a bit of time involved, but 3k? You do get your very own last made though!

  • That's where it's at.

i'm after a nice pair, who makes good ones?

Ace... Remind me of Cyril's boots in this pic... Geezer at the front with the plexi guitar...

John Cornforth makes a good shoe. A bloody good shoe.

  • ^liking the black Derbys (bottom pic)

  • I may have to start spamming this thread .................

do it, that selection was glorious.

A 10-14 month waiting period between ordering and completion is likely due to work in progress.

  • Top ones look good to me- good choice Ashe!

BTW those brogue boots that I mentioned earlier in the thread- very comfy, but be aware that the 9 is very large.

  • Berlutis polished with champagne. Accept no substitute.

  • ^^goth :)

These are what's missing from my wardrobe. I'd have nowhere to wear them too.
Even when I was doing conferences and wearing suits, I'd be overdressed and looking better than my clients in them.

  • ^^goth :)

    gimp

    All of the above :)

  • the cornforth pricing made me chuckle.

Prices quoted are for sizes up to and including the equivalent of UK size 10. For larger sizes a supplement of 5% of the basic price is added for each increase in size.

  • Tim Little is another star leather-turner.

  • I'd go for middle right, none of the rest. Top right with a gun to my head.

  • Something like the bottom right I gave my dad for Crimbo.

  • Top right are gorgeous.

  • Would go nicely with white tights.

    lol

  • Berlutis polished with champagne. Accept no substitute.

I didn't so went and purchased some. Took forever, but they're amazing. Had them a decade and when quizzed on the price by my mother I just smiled and wandered off. I did subsequently tell her, but only when she was sitting down.

  • How much? Over 500?

  • Indulge your inner faun.

  • these belong in the trainer thread but they're berluti and belong here. aligator uppers with rubber sole. eur2,400

@bodieanddoyle what colour are your berluti shoes?

split toe physio with resin sole. dark blotchy blue , love them
