There is no excuse for those shoes

  • my laces are always coming undone, but maybe, just maybe things will change in 2014.

    thank you DJ

  • TLDWatch, but a friend showed me that going twice around the loop before the final tautening pretty much ensures that the knot stays whole.
    Changed my life.

  • Orthopedic shoes?

    They suit my clubfeet

    Showaddywaddy fan?

  • I would not show them to anyone, not even addywaddy.

  • do you have to go half a size down on redwing chukka's, anyone?

  • That, or a whole

  • so on the knot issue. i find it really hard changing my looping technique but i have figured a way to make a similar strong knot.

what i found is that if on the initial cross over when you have a single untied lace in each hand you do the exact opposite this turns the otherwise weak knot into a strong knot.

so instead of crossing your right hand over the top of your left and then bringing the left under and over the right , you bring the left over your right etc
then proceed with what was thought as being a weak knot but is now a strong knot.

    sorry if i missed something

  • This is a sorry sorry page.

  • A lot of retailers have already gone into sale.

Pop into Liberty, they had a few decent pairs of brogues/smart shoes.

Could also check out, Meermin.es - who make lovely shoes (I always recommend them as they are great value and lovely)

I'm not so sure. I tried on a pair today and didn't need to change sizes at all in the Chukka. I wear 1/2 size down in Alden (US8 / UK 7.5) by way of comparison to another US workwear shoe.

I was just about to post the exact same question. Anyone else have any feedback on the RW Chukka sizing?
