I bought some new shoes today, currently my ankle is bleeding as a direct result.

And Campag lock rings.
-

Campag lock rings are made of butter.
Technically, not cheese. -

I'm skylarking for a little abuse, so I thought that I'd throw these on the pile.
White's Boots, Semi Dress, in Dress Brown (pretty black until they get scuffed, from reports).
They're the ones on the far left.

I'm after some black wet weather boots, any suggestions? I was thinking of something along the lines in Red Wings, maybe their chukkas or these ones:
Built like brick shithouses preferably.
-
• #2914
^ they're nice, overpriced for what they are though I reckon
-
• #2915
I like those Red Wings, cheaper alternative would be the Dickies Trader work boots.
-

Really like the Oak Street Bootmakers as well, not sure how waterproof a moccasin can be and they're blue. -
• #2917
Gonna go for a pair of these I think:
I'm a bit late to the party with Red Wings but they're just what I need. Having said that, how will the suede wear in shite conditions, bearing in mind it's not a fine suede?
-
• #2918
What are those? Very nice.
-
• #2919
Dickies trader boots are nice - but not stocked over here, right?
-
• #2920
e-bay is your friend. Considering the low price it might be worth a try.
-
• #2922
For the retail price on those Red Wings you could almost go custom with White's or Wesco. Eliminate a seam up front to minimize water ingress and facilitate clip and strap entrance/exit.

Duluth.
Actually nice. Very tempting for winter boots.

suede is like a sponge in the wet, scotch guard is only so good, would rather save them for the summer

Those vibram soles, when they wear down, will they get super slippery? Been slipping around in my bucks in the rain a few times –*no fun
