im after some recommendations/inspiration for some boots smart enough to wear with a suit but also tough enough to kickstart a motorcycle with
chelsea boot or brogue style?
R M Williams.
They have an incredible after-sales service. Their product can be brought back from the very edge of death.

most double or triple sole brogue boots from the reputable makers will do.
I just use a pair of grenson freds. triple leather sole is pretty substantial and easy to kick start with.
just remember to put a rubber protector on the soles. oh, and shifting is tough for the brogued wing tip. -

What about the Jeffrey West biker range, like their Norton boot? Can't personally vouch for Jeffrey West quality but I'm going to defo get myself a pair of the Hannibal brogue boots.

Picked up these in the Kurt Geiger sale at the weekend...
Look great with jeans etc and are very comfortable so far (leather at the ankle could do with softening in a bit).

£595 >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
ebay ~£350

They're always silly expensive. Was looking on a pair of redwings last year, they were a good £150 more than anywhere else. I don't mind paying premium if it's top notch service and selection, but that's a bit too much

Actually, and I say this partly on Pistanator's behalf, Present's prices aren't exhorbitant. Relative, obviously, to other retailers who carry similar stock... if you're accustomed to buying your clobber at C&A you might be a little shocked.

Change the record, or back it up with actual auctions rather than speculation.

Don't be a garden hose. Save a fucken search on ebay and get flooded by the day with deals like that.
Even 350 notes is wwaaaay over, what the average buyer will spend.
That's the magic of ebay, there's so much offer that there will always be a change to snap a pair.
Sooner or later. -

To be fair, they were Beckmans only avail in the states at the time, so a bit unfair comparison perhaps, but it's not like it's hard to order a pair from the states really. Might've been a few years ago, but not now when everything's on the bay straight away. Might be unfair for compair prices due to redwing upping them for export but that's their problem, not mine
