  • I really like the meindls... Don't know if I could get away with wearing them in the office or are the normal-looking enough?

  • depends if your office is in a National Park I guess?

  • hehe.
your trousers will cover most of them, so why not?

  • Meindls it is.

  • where can one get those danner postman boots?

  • these might be as ugly as hell, but are the most comforable pair of boots i own.

If you're going to do hiking boots, at least do it properly.

    i got these, they're great

What happened to the 1 bike, 1 jacket rule?

bootz iz different. meindls for heavy going territory and winter (although i know a few people that wear them 365), mephisto's are summer/autumn.

  • Would love some Mephistos. They strike that perfect balance between ugly / lovely / geography teacher

  • Hi! This is probably the wrong thread for it, but i would really like a pair of blundstone 500s, is there anywhere in london where i can get/try on. My feet are 5.5/6 but there are quite narrow so size 6 can be too big most of the time.

I'm in Canada and ordered from these guys, got some Redbacks (still made in Oz as opposed to Blundstone) for $120 including shipping. This is 2/3 the price I would pay locally, and only Blundstone are available locally.

  • yer but the redwing ones are like £210...not sure im willing to pay that much for crep soles...

+1 I've been after a pair for a couple of years but haven't got round to pulling the trigger yet, they are just that little bit too expensive and I always end up blowing my cash on something else. I will get round to it soon though.

  • love the postman boots

Look very similar to the Alden ones.

  • cordovan

  • look like orthotic shoes

  • But in a good way :)
