..so who spits and who polishes??
i did that in the army for 4 years. my dress boots were so fucking shiny, it was like a black tinted mirror. i really enjoyed getting them that shiny, was therapeutic, millions of tiny little circles with a cloth over my finger tip.

Aleksi and nuknow, you guys haven't got many black friends eh? Pisti and TS are alright, but I think you two guys might try that humour on someone you actually know? Otherwise it just comes across as a bit wrong.
Are you for real? What does me having "black friends" got to do with anything?...
I don't even know the meaning of this. ... You really are one sick dude.Or wait, Eddie is only allowed to be used if you're black? Do you know if i'm black, or white, or caramel. No, you don't. As much as I don't know if you're black or white or pink, I do know you're a daft weapon that opens his gob without even thinking.

^^^I don't get what you're digging at Nuno posted a gif of Eddie Murphy - before TS had posted anything. ...
I honestly don't think he will get it..... wac.

Ghillie boots. I don't like the rubber sole, but the stylised holes all the way to the top are attractive, to me -(I had to add that, as some saddos feel that I am attempting to influence others into appreciating PROPER leather shoes). Of course the point is that it is traditional Scottish wear, which means wearing it with a
skirtkilt....which I could never pull off. TFFT. -

No Ed.
I've been contributing to this thread since the get-go, and I simply illustrate shoes that are made in the hand-made tradition - normally leather, but also the more avant garde styles also. Nobody doubts that I actually do like (very) traditional brogues, but I highlight what other shoemakers are turning to as well. This does not seem to be popular with everyone, and many of the shoes I bring attention to, I would never wear. Yet, since its all still a part of the traditional of (nearly) old school cobblery, I don't see the harm.
Like with film photography, I want to see some old traditions kept alive.

I'm trying to figure out your naming convention. But I can't..

Found 2 more shoemakers that I hadn't known of before. Both of them are pretty far out of left field. There's CYDWOQ and also [=gender:men&w[]=attribute:Shoe"]John Fluevog](http://www.fluevog.com/code/?w[). I really like what CYDWOQ are doing, with their almost archeological-finds looking shoes. Very Caesar-esque. if you get my meaning. Fluevogs aren't for me, but I could wear some of the CYDWOQs.

I don't see it. There's no way you can expect to meet everyone on this forum before ribbing them. Overly sensitive IMO.

Oh, and to the wag that gave me a neg rep for having my own opinion, NO, I won't be taking advice from you thanks.
And in case anyone is wondering, it's definitely not nuknow, nor Aleksi. Nothing to do with them at all.

I used to think only women's shoes could be ugly. I've revised my opinion since joining this forum.
