  • toothbrush?

  • hmm i've got a suede brush but it doesn't do much good. thought someone would have some tips on all those sprays and creams you can get

  • If your shoes are black, navy or dark brown you could try this:

    http://www.dylon.co.uk/products/shoe-products/suede-and-nubuck-shoe-dye/

I've used the black one to 'refresh' a pair of Vans and it did a decent job.

  • nice one. didnt think of that

  • I have just emailed Kickers to see if they can make me a pair of these in adult sizes.

Best shit ever. Kickers x Lego collab

    Dear Mr. Bartokomous,

Thank you for your enquiry. I would just like to confirm that we don't have any plans at the moment to produce adult sizes in our Lego range. We are really sorry about that. However we do take customer feedback very seriously and your comments have been logged and passed on to our merchandiser.

If you require any further assistance please visit our help pages or contact one of the Kickers team on 0845 603 7151 (UK) or +44 (0)1254 277231 (Int) between the hours of 8.30am and 5pm (UK time) Monday to Friday.

    Kind regards,
    Darren

  • HAHAHAHA! you didn't....

  • You did!!!

  • Im gonna rock this look.

That's my kinda shoe. +1 for good taste.

  • I have emailed my two closest confidants in relation to those shoes. They both called me a cnut.

    :(

  • Tell them to go and put their helmets where the sun don't shine.
Those are not even brogues, they're Saddle shoes. They rock.
    I have some.
And those look really close to my bucs.

  • i have some slightly battered suede shoes that i want to bring back to life. any tips on making the suede look a little less tired

Spray dye is quick and easier to use on suede.

  • this seems easier than i had hoped

  • What waxes, creams, polishes, conditioners or oils will turn my Dairy Milk-coloured shoes into Bournville-coloured shoes? I don't want any coloured stuff, just neutral products that will darken the leather. What about neatsfoot oil?

  • doesn't neatsfoot rot the threads over time?

my wolverine 1k boots got nicely darker by redwing boot wax + snoseal, my grenson's didn't change colour at all though (no snoseal on them though)

  • i recently got some brasher wax for my walking boots, darkened them up quite a bit, even the green leather went a rich brown. cheap as chips too

  • Stumbled on an innocuous little shoe shop stuffed to the rafters with Loakes factory seconds. Got the Burford town boots for £80, just some slight tanning blemishes but you have to search for them. RRP £200

  • Little shop? Thats a bit cryptic. Details please?

  • Ah sorry, round my neck of the woods, Olney, between Northampton and Milton Keynes.

Go past the Doc Martens factory shop, turn left at Trickers, straight on at Barkers, if you get to the place that sells Church's for £50 you've gone too far.

I'm still convincing myself that Northamptonshire's shoe shops are a sound reason to keep commuting 4 hours a day and not move to London.

  • i want those boots.
it's almost 'i need those boots'

  • Stand in line sunshine. I saw them second, which means you are at least third, which is so far back that it is close to last, which is close to the Crab Nebula.

  • 4th

  • Those boots are lovely. Am wearing a pair of cheap Asos things in a similar style as I type.

I also just got my Loake brogues back from the factory today. Resoled, reheeled, new leather inner sole and a bloody good clean-up of the uppers with new laces for £56. Not cheap, but perked up a much-loved pair of shoes. Long turn-around, though - maybe just over two months.

part from taking that long, that seems reasonable to me after my mission to find a decent cobbler in london

  • Yeah, looking at them again on the desk, they do actually look pretty tidy. I wore them loads (pretty much every day, including walking a couple of miles to work) for around six months and went through a sole - not bad going.

I'd say that is cheap. That's a lot of work for someone.
