Depending on which way I do it and if it's open, I'll stop at Holkham for a cream tea. The coast road out from Sheringham is one of my favourite stretches of road I've ever ridden

I'm jealous, really miss the riding round there!

I like the "ride home for Christmas" idea, sadly I'd then need to ask Tesla the cat to drive the Volvo to Winchester for me.
I'd love to do that. The ocean crossings might cause a slight issue though..
There are options..

I am very familiar with option number two. Thankfully, the Festive 500 will be on the roads this year!

i'll be giving this a go

Bloody hell, cyclo-cross on peat? Were you on the cycle route thingy that goes through there? I've never tried it.
Are you local then?Back visiting the folks in Meare; concocted a couple of routes using cycle route 3, but got deceived by Google Maps on this one. Surprised a bunch of deer hunters as I emerged the other side as dusk fell.

Impressive amount of flatness there

This is the ride- it's a cracker, two and a half hours, 45 miles and 2.500 feet of climbing.
Beautiful scenery, also- you go along the base of the valleys, then climb onto the ridge line a few times.
Nice one, many thanks. I can pick this up at Droxford easily enough from my dear old Mum's place.

It really is a good ride, when are you there? Be great to share the road if convenient

Can only really do this from 26th-31st inclusive, so gonna have to bash out 62 miles a day of Cornish/Devonian countryside. If I manage it, I'll be impressed.

I ended up just short of this last year due to weather, injury or mechanical, or some other excuse I can't remember right now. Either way, I will be doing this again - in Wales, in the mountains. It's gonna be hard.
Have a Boxing Day century planned with over 3,000m of climbing :/ -

Well, now I just look like a pussy.

People (and cats) have a remarkably ability to live up to your expectations. Tesla won't let you down…

How are you getting to Norfolk and when? Also, want to head out on a couple of rides? I'm sort of half-planning to try this, but will have to come back to London for work at some point on 27th...
Sparky I might join you for a ride over Christmas.
Really want to give this a go if the knee holds out.
I fancy having a go at this as well if routes/rides are being considered.

Ah, lovely Meare. Used to go through there at about 60mph when I had my first car, sorry.

I'm in I think- my parents' to Cheddar Gorge is about 15 miles so will do that twice a day for the duration.
Boring. No cheese.

This whole "I'll just ride 30 miles a day" approach doesn't seem very epic. Bit off brand really.

It's Rapha's fault for being a bunch of skinny-jeaned, expensive-softshelled hipsters.
If this were a proper, rugged brand, like L'Oreal, we wouldn't have this problem.

must... resist.. "I'm.. worth... it" Rapha ...joke..

I'm planning to ride Christmas day with mince pies and ale for fuel.
I'm yet to see ale feature on Rapha black and white pictures so I could be a trendsetter.
