  • 50k to do.

  • Thank you... She's at 52 to go now. Getting there. I've got 26 left. Thinking of toddling into town and taking some photos.

In other news I am in a short sleeve jersey and shorts today. This weather is bizarre.

  • Yeah I had a jacket for there and back but once I was working hard I immediately ditched it for short sleeves. I've worn my PTJ like twice this year #raphachat

  • Very enjoyable 65km this morning, the wind up on the hills near Bath was pretty savage though, suitibly #epic.

  • @amey I managed to pop into a mate's garden and hose it down. And me. Then got it into the hotel without any bother. Currently on a train back to London on 397km. It's a 15km ride home. That means I need 90km tomorrow. Not an appealing prospect but too close not to finish it off. Will probably just head into town and do laps. Maybe RP, maybe Battersea.

  • This was me after Marriott's Way, about to check into my hotel for a wedding.

  • Finished with 130km ending at Box Hill today. Feel battered. And a bit proud

  • Roseanna and I finished this afternoon. "Someone" has pointed out that if I do another 38 tomorrow I will be at 13000 for the year. Obviously I am not the sort of twat that would let that get to me. Oh no, not me. never.

  • 13,500 or >>>

  • Would not rep

  • 200k left>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

  • 20km left, after a 66km velodrome session.

  • Might just ride that 600k again. Shit, better leave now, don't wanna miss getting dhitfaced..

  • One of my clubmates felt 8 days was a bit too easy. https://www.strava.com/activities/459345383

  • Mr T is he on here? I remember him from the final PBP blast with the Brixton posse.

  • I'm Mr T on Strava :)

5 of us set out from Bristol at 4am yesterday morning with a mild tailwind blowing us to Cambridge. Savage side and head winds from Northampton made the final 200km interesting! Storm Frank ensured we didn't finish until 1pm today

Two bus shelter kips and getting kicked out of a pub for sleeping kept it in the Audax DIY spirit as we collected 25 points for Audax Club Bristol.

    ACB fo lyfe

  • The better of the two bus shelters. Would recommend

  • 505km, 5956m up, 20:37 of riding time. 4 rides, all solo. Very glad to have finished after the catastrophes of the last 2 years.

Today was quite fun, until I got overconfident and tried to divert down an interesting looking bridleway; 6ish kilometers in 47 minutes in the pouring fucking rain and the rapidly setting light and suddenly it wasn't much fun any more. Knee felt fine, so thank you all for the advice. I think I glided through it on anti-inflammatory pain kills.

  • Nice one @MechaMorgan

Glad to hear you were pain free, so to speak.

  • Looks like a nice day out there to finish on. Was going to do another WAW ride but think I'll save myself for my RRtY audax goal.

  • Congrats on finishing it.

Now, give up the NSAIDs and get someone to look at your cleat setup/knees?

  • Scherrit did my cleats, and I haven't had any significant knee pain until a few days ago, I'm more likely to put it down to overdoing it / significantly upping my mileage rather than anything long-term, although obviously I'll go to the doctor if it recurs. Thanks for the advice tho.

@JB thanks man! Just one more step towards being able to do this hobby well.

  • How long ago were you set up? He will usually riders not to hammer it after adjustments - that includes intensity and volume. Guess it depends on the jump? Going from 0 - 500k will make most people sore :)

  • Just finished, and fell off (for the first time in ages) in the final kilometre.
