123km and 1800 up today, did Cheddar Gorge and a few other long, easy climbs. Dead nice. Back was behaving itself too, very good.
Raining for a bit, but ended up perfect racecape weather and cleared up pretty quickly. Accidentally cycled through a river so my feet where soaked and then freezing/numb from kilometer 30 onwards, and it was a bit boring without company but otherwise grand.

Broke a spoke in the middle of fucking nowhere but thankfully, @umop3pisdn was very patient with getting me back to civilization.
167k done. Would've been 200 had the spoke not broken...

Must have been 4-5 years ago I did Cheddar on Christmas Eve, sub zero temperatures & sleet. Was a good ride.

I'm doing 80 (ish), flat (ish) miles in Kent tomorrow morning at 17/18 mph. 8am depart from Hither Green. Company would be very welcome if anyone is interested.
I can promise a stop at Kent's largest tea pot collection. They serve tea.

Looks like it took him a good while to descend the closed road covered in snow/ice of the petit San Bernard in the dark. Awesome effort but I guess there were at least a few moments on the descent when he was thinking it might not have been the best idea he has ever had.

Might be up for a ride on Sunday morning depending on family commitments. Would only probably be a few hours though. How much notice do you need?
Riding at my moms in the midlands, crosswinds a plenty.
