This.
I don't buy that. It encourages people to pick teams that they think will win. It's a sport.

Exactly. That is how BM works, dont throw your toys out of the pram because you dont like what the manager is doing.

Ah. Misunderstood the tone, rather than the point, it seems.

it is a sport, but what's the point in seperating the teams into countries, only to mix people from different countries into the same team? surely the purpose of choosing teams like this is to encourage people to 'play for their country' rather than just their team, is it not?

Yeah, that's a valid argument. I'm not saying the draft is perfect. I don't think it is. But it was Chan's call in the end, I guess.

wtf?? i've seen far worse comments thrown at people on this forum! besides, which is worse, being told to 'f-off' or being compared to a racist organisation?
I couldn't care what you have seen TBH. Chuckklebruvs way with words set others off..slightly aggressive tone.
-
• #184
well don't voice your opinion if you're not interested in hearing other people's. chucklebruv has explained why he told Gabes to fuck off. get over it.
-
• #185
mark, I meant it in the tone that Lemon took it, not the tone in which you took it. It's a sport, and that's how it should be. The same way that the league should be merit based split.
-
• #186
chucklebruv, it was a joke, not a comparison. And yes, you're coming across as a dick, no-one said that you HAVE to live in england to apply, yorgo even asked first if he could play with ROE. So, get over it.
-
• #187
agreed with ^
also, why the big problem with yorgo? he lived here for ages, he helped start polo in london, he's a good player. i don't think yorgo is all that easily separable from 'english' polo.

I agree with this. And was going to post it, but didn't want to wade in too deep.

Hassan, so should I or TOm, be allow to play for ROE, or even London?
-
• #190
Of course you should, if the coach selected you. This isn't the Olympics, it's a casual tournament.
-
• #191
I did ask, and was told, "NOOO!!!!!!! you can not!"
-
• #192
oh??? who by?
london?

Dear Mr Mallet
Not sure your quite getting what I'm saying. I would love the chuccklebruv to voice his opionion as have I if your refer to my earlier posts. It's just shame he couldn't do it as slighty better way.

of course! i don't see why not, you are playing for spain aren't you (yet you currently reside in germany).

Every player I spoke to in London thought that, in the case of players who can make the draft of their own region, that's what they should do. That is, rather than take spots from players in London who don't have the option.
Maybe harsh for you and Tom, but Seems fair to me.
RoE decided to do it differently.
-
• #197
actually i take my above statement back.
of course you and tom should be allowed to play in either london or roe, you are both large parts of the polo communities here, regardless of nationality or place of residence

• #198
hes trying to say youre chums and he;ll do the best he can to cup your balls without touching you
sadly i cant join in anymore, have to work till 9pm
I wont see the rest of this till 9 pm tonight unfortunately
thank you for the apology gabes
I suppose by this point youre all imagining how the ROE team would even want such a bitter prick on their team. Am i right? Fuck you

@ chucklebruv and timimallet. Yeah, cheers for being understanding fellas. For your information, Alex was playing in Manchester long before either of you 2 ever turned up, and Yorgo has every right to play for ROE. He was there at the very start of bike polo in the uk. Get your facts right before slagging me off.
This draft was lacking numbers and i picked the team based on my experience of the players. No need to be so aggressive towards me, Paul and Yoav in particular. Just fucking grow up and take into account all the external factors surrounding this before saying stuff like "Fuck the captain for his bullshit judgment"
Oh and Rik, tom etc...yeah i would have loved to have you on the draft! Everyone needs to clam down, like Gabes said 'This isn't the Olympics, it's a casual tournament'
racist.
