Always having stock seems like a fine idea now, re-order at X number left in stock, etc? Just be careful not to buy lots of something before something new comes out/trends change.
[cough] Nabbing loads of 700c rims just as everyone starts moving to 26". [/cough]
Have you tried putting them up on the trick forum? Worth a punt...

You need a 'trend analyst' at the LHBPA. Happy to put myself forward for that role.
You'd be changing stock every week if you tried that.

Also, Rupert is too much of a visionary for this role - he will be ahead of the curve and the stock will sit unwanted for 6 to 9 months.

I work 3 seasons ahead.
I'm trying to introduce the saddle bag at the moment.
srsly though, next trend, bladed spokes. I'm in talks with Sapim about developing a bladed version of their double butted Strong spoke.

They're all switching to 26 now as well!
I'd keep the sputniks, 700c will come back in. Dusty moved from 26" to 700c this year. Lot's of American's still ride 700c and there doesn't seem much sign of them changing, Bruiser just had a polo specific redesign on 700c.

It's not as if we need the cash at the moment either (I think), but I'd like to clear the space under my bed! We have around 25 left I think, no biggie.

As well as poles, heads, baskets, balls & rims, we are now selling the "pringle" caps, which fit the HDPE heads (like the 3pmh ones).
I'm also looking into getting ones for the ABS heads.
They are very light, and as such don't last that long (in my experience 5-10 polo sessions) but we are selling them for £2.25 for 5, or £4.25 for 10, and you can easily pop the old one out of the head, and insert a new one.
I've been playing with them for a few months now, and I really like them.
You can find them on our shop page: http://www.lhbpa.org/shop/

I believe we're currently very in the black.

I imagine that coke and champagne session at the Bristol penthouse dented the funds.

Hah. To date, I'm still a few hundred quid down from helping out with bike polo, c'est la vie.
Some poloistas still owe me and Jack for the Bristol pizza/beer, no doubt this will come back around (crosses fingers).
Have we got any spare poles John? I may need one this week for Konstanz? Are you back in London?
-
• #943
Yep, I'm back. In that case I'll talk to Rik about an order.
-
• #944
Did the sumo suits get to north London? LHBPA still owes me £20 for them, might be easier to do a straight trade for polo gear...
-
• #945
The heads just arrived, let me know and I'll bring them to polo
-
• #946
Are you heading south tonight John?
If so I'll grab mine.Cheers
-
• #947
Nah, not tonight, got a date.
What one did you want in the end, I can't exactly remember.

Not much to tell.
Awesome idea. We can offer a bespoke polo fitting service too, to make sure your bike is always kitted out with on trend gear.
