  • Commitment not equipment... Btw, estate agent signs are free, just saying...

    CRC's got £5 front hubs in 48h:

    = £40 + your wheelbuilder friend's time
    not bad at all!

  • estate agent signs don't make a strong wheel or a wheel for that matter

  • Been running the same wheel since I got the bike built, truing it once in a while and never replacing a spoke, still fine. It's a beater wheel, cheap steel spokes, Sachs hub, rigida rim. Survived plenty of epic shots which I used to tag with a marker pen on my previous estate-agent-wheel cover and includes my own mallet strikes. Wheel cover was pulled apart by a pedal but wheel still spinning.

  • Hitting it with your mallet is different to crashing the wheel

  • Done that too, still fine.

  • Ok, sorry I was wrong. Putting 3mm thick plastic on your wheels make them indestructible

  • Shut it already, 40 quid is cheap enough for any wheel (I bet your crappy wheel cost about the same new). LHBPA has lots of these rims, I was trying to help them out by putting some economic perspective into this and persuade people to go this route.
You are officially the lousiest troll Beagle.

  • tenner, and it's an old crappy wheel but it works. Putting facts where it hurts is not trolling...

  • it doesn't hurt, try harder

  • No way!?

I could tell you a good story about that wheel. In fact, you paid a lot less than it's real value.

    Yep, now what's the story?

    • spare hour for filing the dropouts

I built up a wheel pretty much like this, it's awesome. Recommend these rims.

    Beagle = megatroll.

14 Bike's frame has been tried and tested, full of awesomeness ;)

    I am considering one :)

  • Cedric thanks for the info, Beagle stop filling my distribution thread with pointless comments, take your wheel discussion elsewhere.

10mm, just need to take off 1mm in the worst case which takes 5min with a dremel.

  • Reprimanded :)

  • Seriously Ben, JohnH has a point, this is a distribution thread, not somewhere for you to show off your shit wheel which no-one gives a shit about.

  • the law has been laid down
