Forum veggie/vegan nosh up?

Alas also the day I have been told I am not allowed vegan meals here - so it's more quiche, macaroni cheese, egg mayo salads for me :( Can I go home yet?

What's the anti-vegan rationale? They just not set up for it, or is there something more subtle going on with regards to attitudes to dietary control?

DJ and I went to Tibits yesterday. Can't believe I didn't know about it before. As far as I'm concerned it is the best veggie buffet I've been to in London. You chose from dozens of Ottolenghi-esque dishes (minus the tahini and cardamon) and pay by weight. We piled our plates very high and with drinks the bill came to £40. Not somewhere I could afford to go to every day but made a nice change for a Saturday lunch.

Not set up for it and many don't think it's acceptable. Frustrating, especially since the new Muslim girl is allowed Halal without eyebrows being raised or questions asked.

Was at Vanilla Black for lunch, last week. Gorgeous food and the lunchtime set menu deal is well worth it, although vegans might need to go a la carte.

20th is the cambridge ride, which may explain the lack of interest.

Definitely, a some throw from the g/f's place, will ask her if she been there before.
