  • This is going to be rad

  • In. want to play. #Oh wow its snowing outside.

  • Having a londoner manage a foreign team will be terrible, like snoops said language barriers and not knowing player styles etc will make it impossible to do it properly. If a choice had to be made between having that or player managers, player managers is easily the better option.

    ps. This sounds awesome Max

  • Yeah, i would be interested to see if there was an advantage to having a non-playing manager or not.

We don't speak english as well as a londoner does it.

  • First play against a team without a dedicated manager:

    1. Wait till manager is on court.
    2. Hold manager against wall with one of your players and get them to shout as loudly as possible, blocking out further plays/trades by the other team.
    3. Profit.
  • Yes, well up for coming down for this!

  • This sounds radical.
    Totes up for it.
Would happily manage a London squad too.

Right then lads, let's all hit the showers....

  • I vote Saturday the 8th and Sunday the 9th of January... first tournament of 2012, yeah boi*.

    *Emmet.

  • Add my name on the (Ro)England shortlist please...

  • Well up for this.

  • Well, all sounds very cool, great idea, some Brussels guys, me included, are very interested to be in, but 'll depending on the date, we need one quick for organising and find travel solutions; personaly, the earlier in january, the better!

  • .

  • brilliant, lots of french players then.

  • We already have 15 players on the list on the french forum, I think there will be at least 30 for the draft.

Still no manager, but it looks like few people might be interested.

So you can definitely consider there will be a french team on this bench minor.

Gentlemen be ready, the sons of "Guillaume le Conquérant" are coming.

  • I started a thread in our Bikepolo Karlsruhe Forum for organising a German team.

  • ^ please let them know about this..

  • ^ please let them know about this..

    for sure.

  • ... the date gets more and more important. everyone is asking. and the flights get more and more expensive...

  • Understandable.

Just had some bad news from the Lord Roberts Centre, it seems they are quite popular and are booked up every weekend til JUNE, as the roller hockey league season has started.
He said that weekdays are available, but when he heard it was for bike polo, was not keen, even after i told him about white tyres. He said unicyclists had played there and trashed the surface. So, this may be a no go.

I am going to chase up battersea re: January, if anyone wants to go and check that out that would be good.

I was also told that they play at the recreation centre in Farnborough, so maybe i'll check that out.

Apologies for getting everyone so stoked on this without having a court 100%
