I am in charge of shit. The manager is in charge of selection. There is a draft.

How do we pick a manager/captain. Do we vote on it?

If we argue about it long enough, Karlsruhe will do it for us, easy!

Probably. I think we should choose a manager who opts out of playing and focuses on managing. But, of course, people have to put themselves up for that position.

We never did argue about it. Karlsruhe are doing it now anyway.

Likelihood of going to all this effort for no teams to turn up because the same tournament is happening a few weeks later, slim to none.

Kinda gutted though, would have liked to have done GM this year, but likeliness of being drafted seems slim. A real shame that the most talked about tourney of last year is a Bench Minor this year (not that it wont be awesome anyway)

Pretty much, i did suggest to Hannes that he do BM but a different format (international draft, not city vs city), because i wanted to do the one i thought of here. But that was ignored.

I'm still looking up places for a tourney, but consider London gazumped.

Throw in tourney, same weekend, for those who aren't drafted? Or, we could still do a BM here for North v South if we can find a good venue.

Max, after the BM in Paris were a lot of talks of how wicked will be to have international BM in Europa, either by cities or by countries.
We all wished that you could pull it off, but after the problems with the court and not having any dates confirm, I think was pretty clear than any other city/organiser was going to try to do one...

I was just testing the water, to see if there was interest, there was. I got gazumped.

I'm sure KLH will be good, and i want to go, but i am pretty pissed off.

Besides MAXs point about Newington not being a good venue, how would this work out who would be on the UK BM team...? some cities wouldn't even have enough players to field their own BM team...!

Having two courts we could have more teams.
It is true Newington is not ideal, I didnt thought properly about it.

Adan, if one city dont have enough plays they could get together with another city, so maybe Manchester could play with Birmingham, and Cambridge with Bristol and Brighton, but any way that was just an idea with out too much thinking behind it

But i think someone, player/manager or both needs to step up to the plate for the rest of the UK, if anyone else wants to, then have a vote.

Then do a draft (inc. London players who aren't in the London draft)
