it looks like the bolts are having to stop the slider moving in a vertical plane. given horizontal drops do come loose i am not sure i would be confident about these holding still
what are user reports for them like?

Last year at hilly fields park, went for a ride with a friend, immense amounts of fun, ran Nobby Nics 2.1 on front and 2.25 on rear at 25 psi, great tyres for snow, lots of traction -

I think I've finalized the fatty Ti geometry.
I'd miscalculated the max tyre radius, and together with my slight lowering of the BB this looked like I'd get tyre-to-seattube rub. Looking at the BikeCad mock-up Triton sent. Although with the rockers I can move the tyre out a touch anyway.
The hardtail style fatbikes have a chainstay length of around 448mm.
The snowbike style fatbikes have a chainstay length of around 456mm.
With my 452mm chainstays, and rocker drop outs. I have effective lengths of 444-460mm.

The snowbike style fatbikes have a headtube angle of around 69 - 69.5.
With my 70deg, 1.5" headtube, and a cane creek angleset. I can have head tube angles of 68.6 - 71.4.
Sweet!I cant see myself playing with these things much. In fact I plan to run a tapered fork which removes angle adjustability. But I love the built in flexibility. Triton came back to me with questions about exactly the aspects they should be concerned with. I'm massively reassured by this, and of course massively excited .

The top tube angle is crazy compact 25.5 degrees FFS.I've spec'd 3 pairs of bottle cage mounts, and rack mounts. I was playing with the idea of Crud catcher mounts on the underside of the downtube. Not sure I'll bother though. The temptation is to bling it out with frame features like bent tubes and extra reinforcing tubes. But I want it to be as simple as possible. With just a small front gusset, as the only additional feature.

I doubt they would cost me extra. I'm just unsure wether I'd use them. Plus the strap on ones I have for the current winter bike stay in place fine.
Also tempted to make the downtube bottle cage mounts, triple 'everthing cages' ones. Although a framebag will always be a better solution for storage in the main triangle.
Just need to confirm my rack mounts will work, and that I can actually fit bottles into the three sets off mounts.

I have weird taste when it comes to these things. But I do like the striaght tube line from the rear dropout to the headtube. The headtube will extend above the top tube a full 22mm, and extend under a fair bit (gusseted here). The idea is to gain clearance for the fork crown (espesially if I ever fit a sus fork), as well as clearance for my dangly bits. Without resorting to tube bending. Triton could add slight bends in the right places. But the Chi-tanium builders I was originaly looking at, could'nt. Which is why they were'nt on my original plan. I've grown to like the clean look of the striaght tubes. So I'm keeping them.
Really want a Kent Eriksen seatpost now.

I dont think I'd want the lay-back version. When your saddle is only 673mm from the BB. The saddle rails should provide enough angle adjustment.
Also its bead/sand blasted. So it would match the frame.

Usually 8-10 weeks from down payment. Which was 15mins ago.
Which gives me time to account for the big withdrawal from my account. Before a bike frame turns up in the post.

Its not a moonlander because it s running undrilled Darryl rims, and standard Larry tyres. The offset nature of the front and back points to pugsly.

Just found a pick of an old dark grey Pugsley. Minus the top tube/ seat tube truss, and with more horizontal geometry. So its a 2009 or something.

The geometry on this custom frame is amazing.

Looking at Rocker drop outs instead of slidders. Better for rack use, and puts the brake caliper a bit more out of harms way. Perfect for fatbike usuage.........I think.
