Especially the randos bar, they're super comfortable and I'll agree, drop on everything.
Jacquie Phelan won many races on her mtb with drop bar and brake hood;
If some of you don't know who's Jacquie, google her, she's a hero.
hehe, i shared a campervan with jacquie for a weekend - she's a wild lady with a big penis (see pic below) her husband also a major legend

Good work, Tom, you smooth operator.
Loving the Midge bars on those big wheel beauties...

Just order the Salsa Woodchipper bar, look like an oversized version of the on-one midge;
Can't wait.
-
• #237
too big i reckon - you have to have shoulders like a lumberjack to justify them
-
• #238
and i don't think they'll do so well in traffic!!
-
• #239
May i beg to differ? super wide bars allow you to be even more like the size of a vehicle when it is necessary to, you look cooler, and then when its downhill carve time happy days. you aint squeezing through gaps though...
cant wait to log off and ride the j-bar again today -

I used Midges on my fixed for awhile and they are very wide. If the Woodchippers are even wider, could be an issue. Depends on how you ride though mainly I guess.

on my ATB, I have a 61cm handlebar that I used in traffic everyday;
I order the 46cm version, compare to my 61cm moustache bar, it'll be narrower and easier.

in fairness- in london it's probably no probs, I've been crushed inbetween cars and buses lots in yorkshire as the cycling awareness seems to be crap - + we don't have cycle lanes anywhere. with any bar wider than 44 i run a serious chance of knocking a wing mirror off or scratching a window
saying that i run a 60cm bar on my mtb and i love it (although it's not uncommon for me to hit trees!)
P.s the woodchipper is 66cm!! (outside measurement) 80mm bigger than the midge and 110grams heavier

just dont ride at night on trails you 'know' without lights,
a tree may come out and knock you off 'for a laugh'
true story ;-) -

Good move. If you plan on using the drops a lot , that section of the midge's can be a bit short. OK if you have short hands like me, and have the added length from brifters though.

taking up the whole buslane
at warp speed, apparently
-
• #248
exactly as I should, too many motorcyclists buzz pass at warp speed.

Here's my winter bike.
Just put it together yesterday, and took it out for a test run today.
Runs great, nice and comfy and very practical. But not a pretty sight.
meant to say yesterday, very much like this also, well done
