The tyres themselves are marked 35-60, although obviously as a free-spirit I refuse to be dictated to, so those are more of a guideline.

Have you considered going for a ride and seeing whether you feel they would be better with more/less air in them?

Madness!

And on a less hysterical note, it's not currently a frozen, desolate ice-field outside, so unrepresentative of the conditions that would require these wheels being put onto the bike.
In fact I could do with tyres that have added Jesus in order to ride on water, rather than studded snow/ice tyres, looking at the weather forecast.

You could create a spreadsheet of lap times vs. tyre pressure, if that helps. I know you don't enjoy anything which doesn't come with graphs.

If you email Schwalbe they send you about 50 replacement studs for nowt. Putting them in the tyre is a bit of a challenge. Meaning impossibru.

Run them a touch low to start with. PSI in winter conditions varies, though running a thick sidewalled commuting tyre too low is pretty sluggish. Try 45?
I'm starting mine at 10 PSI, and working down. Slightly wider tyres though ;)
I suspect my shit bead locks to be the first things to cause issue.

My winters are max 85 psi, I find 70 is a nice compromise for grip on the ice without being too slow when you hit tarmac again so 10 psi below the max is probably a good idea.
Interested to see how the 30c ones work out, I'm always happy to have the outer row of studs on mine when things start to go a bit sideways!

I run 2.4" fat alberts this winter but they do fuck all on snow and ice.. I know they're not winter specific, but I was hoping they would work due to fatness. Nope

They should be OK on up to 6" of powder on a solid base, so just go and find some of that and avoid icy pistes or powder so deep you sink up to your axles.

So nice.
Love the way the seatstays, and DT line up, with help from those cool bends near the drop-outs.
