City split like last year I guess.

Have Barcelona mentioned when they expect to hear back about this new location.

I have an appointment tomorrow to discuss it.... hopefully they'll be able to say yey or ney on the spot.

Is the nationals even confirmed/being talked about?

Planning for an awesome potential nationals is in hand, watch this space... it won't be complete in time for the Euros though so we'll have to find another way?

Ale, having the dates asap would be cool as we're trying to organise some cool UK based polo stuff around it, cheers matey.

Also, if it is going to be the start of June, the three-month-advance cheap travel date is in a few days.

I'm keeping fingers and toes crossed that you will get this venue for the first weekend in June - it would make me the happiest polo wag ever!

We'll have to wait and see what Spain decide i guess. It's not up to us.

It's a massive compliment to the British polo scene that we have the most spots.

From what I saw at the Cambridge tourney, the level of many of the smaller scenes has improved immeasurably over the last 12 months.

Agreed, a few of those teams had only formed over the last few months, good stuff.

Not clear which way they're going to go on country/city selection, although the way I read it they're likely to leave it up to each country to sort for themselves:

Of course, that was dependent on how the spots would be allocated.

We've possibly got an awesome venue/date/tourney planned for the UK Champs, but it's likely to be a week or two before the Euros themselves.

Maybe we could ask Ale to allocate the spots to UK scenes/cities based on the data he received? Any other ideas anyone?

I notice (the Republic of) Ireland is not on the list of places being allocated spots. Curious as to whether this is simply because they haven't been, or they are accidentally being included in the UK.

Eire is being included in the UK intentionally. I remember discussing this with Emmet a while back, maybe in Rouen.
