She's made a deal with God, like Kate Bush, or the Blues Brothers:

No, sadly it is still a thing. I have heard the coronation being described as a "sacrament" and that, as a consequence, they are our rulers anointed under apostolic succession by God. This is sadly not a joke. Just an example of the way in which theology can be created to justify wrong.
To be fair, that's not too dissimilar to the way @amey rules the forum.

That shit happens everyday to people much more deserving of your sympathy
I'm not going to offer her any less sympathy than I feel towards anyone else I don't know who's just been widowed, just because she's the queen.
-
• #2483
But why are you singling her out as a recipient of your sympathy?
-
• #2484
Because she's on TV?

Which 99.99% of the time is none, because it won't spend days being the only thing reported on.

She also rallied to protect her son after he was implicated as having strong links major peadophile network.

What did the Queen do to protect her son from the implications? I thought he was the person who won't talk to the FBI. Didn't realise the queen was involved.

I feel more sympathy to a widow with young kids whose bread-winning husband dies prematurely than I do to a fathomlessly wealthy woman of 95 whose husband dies a couple of months off his 100th birthday. Call me callous if you will. One is a tragedy, the other an inevitability.

I think it important for us all to watch this video and understand what a true Brit is (and then read the replies and laugh)

From an old friend's instagram today. Poor chap has a really time leaving his army days behind. Also believes that Boris Johnson is a man of the people.

They don’t call it ‘army indoctrination’ for nothing!

His twitter is a thing of wonder. He seems to have spent a lot of time filming in Syrian refugee camps and is comparing that to what will happen in Scotland if they gain independence.

He's a good person.
But he's also somebody who struggles with his status in civilian life. He worked as an HR admin in the army. Sure, he went to Afghanistan but to do payroll. He likes to tell people that he was infantry and has PTSD.
It's actually kind of sad that he's holding on to his army days from so long ago. He's a bright bloke and a good person. It's a shame he can't just be him and be him without swearing allegiance to something.

For reals.

I can’t tell if you mean Scotland will be filled with refugees from the UK or the other way around.

I was referring to the immediate reaction following Epstein's death. The firm put out photos in the press of Andrew sitting next to the queen.

I didn't know about that. Yeah, clearly stage managing.

There was a reason that the nonce prince was put up as the family spokesperson. It was an attempt to rehabilitate. It failed.

Its like they've been getting PR tips from the ESL
