It's good the gardens are being well used this summer, not just for the garden parties, but at £30 for entry to this weekend's Coronation Festival (a nice but pricey village fete) and £90 for a ticket to the gala in the evening, it's not exactly a free for all.

I was out for a meal with a royal correspondent a few weeks ago, when there was the embargo on the news of Phil being in hospital. Poor sod had to keep their phone on and in full view all night in case they got the call to say the cunt had kicked the commode.

It was probably one of the few times I hoped a great evening was interrupted by a phone call.
