Imagine if you were the designer asked to design that t shirt, only hours after the accident. It'll raise funds but personally I think it's crass.
If it wasn't rushed out (whilst there's media attension) it could have been the Leopard blue, and a celebration of the rider. That'd be nice.

Fuck's sake.
It's a t-shirt. It will raise more money for his family, whether you agree with it or not. It's pretty understated and if you didn't know what the number signified it is pretty anonymous-where's the crassness? For the people that were moved to buy it it will remind them of someone who by all accounts was a great guy and an amazing cyclist, and yes, remind them that they did a good thing for people they don't personally know.
I don't see anything bad there and I don't think it is motivated by anything other than a sincere desire to help out his partner and kid.
Don't like it then don't buy, end of.

anyone got a live stream for today that works, the cycling fans ones are not working for me
No... It would appear that I'm a complete internet dunce. No matter how many of the steephill/fromsport etc links I click on I can never find one that works unless someone posts a direct link here.

Thanks for the links... they still didn't work with Safari (no idea why since they did yesterday) but worked perfectly in mozilla.
After the initial adverts I caught the last 250m :)

pettacchi just gave up... good finish though

Good Finish that, sure my boss has noticed a small dip in my productivity over the last hour mind!

Don't think he could get through the pack in time-saw another Lampre rider (Scarponi?) in front trying to see where Petacchi was coming out of the last bend. Gutted Millar didn't manage to sneak off the front but it was pretty unlikely...

wtf? Just watched the replay and confused why Petachi stopped? A couple of m from the finish, did he seem to have a problem with his right shoe moments after he stopped?
-

suspect petacchi knew he done enough to secure his position in the giro, that final push looked hard :)

Sorry came out as a bit of a rant, just don't understand that in a rare moment when people feel like helping out folk it has to be jumped on and hyper-analysed when there's a million other more obvious and cynical examples of consumerism out there that go unremarked upon...

My first thought was he'd mashed a gear? Cramp? Unbearable pain? Lazy?
haha.

Here's an idea - instead of everyone needlessly arguing and debating someones death - lets all just do what we individually think is best... e.g buy/not buy a t-shirt etc, and all leave it agreed that it's been a bloody sad week?...
