I was watching live.. it was horrible. I wish I could have avoided it.

Verbage from other sources than Eurosport saying his left pedal hit a wall and a 60M descent was next :-(

I dl'd stage 3 to watch on the turbo and had to stop my session just now after getting to the crash.
Wish I knew beforehand so I could have avoided it.

Jesus, one of the top ranked news sites on Google has some images that are just not on. The dude has family ffs and nobody bar the race doctors should see him like that.

My girlfriend came back from work and over dinner asked me what had happened in the Giro. I actually found it hard to even talk about it and started feeling quite sick. Just unbelievable.....so sad.

Terrible day for cycling. Cavendish is right, this sort of thing just shouldnt happen with the level of investment in helmet technology.
