One of those new restrap bumper bars arrived in the post today. Fitted it, some thoughts.
- I like that it moves bag forward (as it's supposed to). I've worried about the cables for a while now, so this is good.
- It's heavier than I thought.
- Really practical with the support strap etc at the lower end of the bag.
- Seems well made. As it's steel I bent mine a little bit to reduce the distance from head tube to bag.
- I had to source a 2mm spacer, as it replaces a 3mm spacer. I think they should include a 2mm spacer with it.
- The little rubber logo tab gets in the way ofy cables, may remove it. Seems an odd labelling method. (Will save weight too!).
- Feels nice and snug on the steerer, and pretty robustly made.
- Now the bag is a bit more upright, I think a light won't shine over it on my bars, so I'm going to have to get a proper fork light mount.

It swivels round so you don’t need to cut it off.

Forum favourite rear rack for 26x2.3” wheel? Will be fairly light duty, just over nighters and shopping etc.
I hate racks that end up sitting a mile above the tyres which is often the case with universal ones.. -

After riding around for a while with a saddlebag on the front bars, I've decided for a switch up. Liked the space, and the side pockets etc, but not that you can't access it on the move, and then when you stop, undoing the buckles, unrolling the top etc, then having to do it all up again.
So, being an unapologetic Nohlin fan (and some specialized store credit) I ordered one of the Fjallraven x Specialized Bar Bags and Rack which arrived yesterday. Not ridden with it yet, finally doing my IOW loop tomorrow for its first ride, but looks pretty good.
The rack attaches easily enough, and when the bar bag is not on can be used to strap stuff too (e.g my tennis racket this morning). The bag, I went for the green despite really wanting the yellow (but probably should have got black), is quite large and boxy, definitely not everyones cup of tea aesthetics wise, but has a good mounting system to the rack (straps at top and buckles underneath), has tons of space inside as well as lots of mesh pockets for smaller things. It also has some strapping on the front to lash things too if needed. The rack has a built in 'lid cord holder', so it's super easy to open on the fly.
It does sit a bit higher than the saddlebag which was level with the bars at the top, but I could rotate the clamps to move it down a bit. (I went with the recommendation in the manual to keep the clamps level).
The rack also has some threaded bolt holes on the bottom for light mounts. I don't actually have a mount that would fit, but might look into it at some point when I finally get around to the dynamo setup.
Anyway, initial thoughts are positive, will see how it travels compared to my old KlickFix bar bags I've used (Carradice Super C, Swift Paloma) and the saddlebag.

140kms later, not much to add other than I think its fantastic. Good size, easy to open on the move which I realised I've really missed, lots of space for snacks, camera (with a padded insert) etc etc. Very stable on the rack, including on some off-road trails and bridleways. Side pockets good for bananas. Top pocket good for anything you want to quickly jam in. (over the course of my ride the top pocket carried a banana, a bottle of water, a car number plate I found on the side of the road to hand into a garage, a packet of wine gums and my phone).
I think I probably should have gone for black in the end.

I have a carbon fork that has mud guard eyelets only. No brake drilling as its disc brakes and I'm looking for a small front rack that uses those. (Just for commuting to carry change of clothes in a dry bag nothing heavy. )
Does this rack exist ?
I wanted a jack bike rack wich looks pefect as it doesn't need mounts at all but they are not avaible atm. -

hey all,
im in an endless research to find a nice front rack, too bad most of manufactures dont detail that good their products.
i cant understand what is the biggest wheel that can fit in the pelago rack?
im riding 29X2.1, my axle to crown is 425, they do say that range is from 357-401.
but no drawing of the product so i cant be sure i cant modify it to fit.
someone use this rack and can help?

VeloVitality used to sell something not a million miles away I think.
Could always strip a pizza rack back? Guessing it's silvery underneath.

Pelago Commuter - has a sidebar for panniers and have used it for that purpose with no issues.
Bonus is that it comes in both steel and alu so you can choose on weight/strength.

Does this help? https://pelagobicycles.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/05/pelago-front_rack_rasket_assembly-instruction_web_V2.0.pdf
If not (and you're in London) you're welcome to come and have a look at mine that's sitting on the shelf and the fixing equipment?

Sure, which adapter do you want? Or shall I just do all of them?

Anyone have one of the carradice hook adapters to fit 11mm rails going spare? I've lost mine and everywhere wants £5 in postage to ship a £2 part.

Pretty sure I've got one of these knocking about, let me check...
Has to be a Salsa clamp lock, because well it’s Salsa and will last a life time. (The pics a post mount, but they look the same. They just have a lip on the top the add mounting)
