What a fantastic finish, best so far. Its incredible how orgnaised the team are to get Cavendish to the front with 300 to go

Is Cavendish really that good? If other teams were so determined to work for their sprinter I think he could get some spanking from the likes of Griepel, Farrar and Pettachi.
I am bored of him winning all the time. -

For my money, Paul is winning the 'best lead-out man in the business' line jersey

He must be in difficulties. He should have said:
'I have 25 stitches fewer than Johnny"
that's what I meant, my bad translation :-/

Bet Voeckler is getting really bored answering that question, so tedious.
Ben swift is only a year older than me, mega depressing

I am bored of him winning all the time.He is that good. Remember when he lost Renshaw last year and caried on winning? Cavendish is the best sprinter out there racing behind the best lead out team.An unbeatable combination. There was nothing boring about today's win.

Sorry. Just joshing and not meaning offence.

I admire the guy's riding style, and his guts for getting back on the bike, but there's no getting away from the fact he looks like he's wearing a melted monster mask.
he certainly has a kind of face you don't see every day, neanderthal like maybe, but the pic with the bandage is just scary, not an improvement on anything. but I see what you mean, or meant to say

I am bored of him winning all the time.He alluded to this when he was interviewed straight after the race. That his team are the ones doing all the work as the other teams do not have much faith in their sprinters.
I thought todays win was far from boring

Watching the best rider win is never boring*
*Lance excepted

I'm watching Chasing Legends. Why does the wind changing from cross to head mean you can split the pack?
-
• #2166
because only so many riders can fit the width of the road before having to start another group, the groups get separated and it gets hard to go from say the 2nd or 3rd group to the 1st

Yes, he always does.
The reason why I said it was boring is that whenever there is a flat stage and you see HTC forming a group at the front you know what's coming. It gets boring to see this happen all the time.I am biased, I like breakaway wins.

I'm up to 2 days back, the a'bisque stage, that french dude must have just about died when tourmalau spwd past him just 1800m from the finish.. For a while I thought tourmalau might let him have that one out of good sportsmanship. Quite a lot of riders looked angry to have lost 9 minutes in the pelotonat the finish.

From watching the stage today and watching Chasing Legends, when HTC did it in 2009, and popped the entire team off the front of the Peloton, you ride 'half the road' so the team forms a line on one side of the road that only protects team members, offering no support to the rest of the peloton, which means they can't relax and be pulled along by the efforts of the team working at the front. Eurocar and Leopard-Trek worked at the front also today, but they did it independently of HTC who essentially worked the stage like a team time trial. The peloton has to work very hard to keep up with the organised team and can be popped off the back if the wine wind is bad enough and the team riding 'half the road' puts in enough effort

Why the shit music added to that dutch video?
When will people on here stop spouting the expert analysis of the tv commentators they heard a couple of hours before trying to pass it all off as their knowledge?
seen the full length one?
