The hyped up attacks never really materialised. Still an amazing stage, a real epic

Earlier in the stage there was a moment where Eisel was distracted from pacing Cavendish over, just sat up shortly and rode freehanded to undo his jersey, drink something and take a bite of an energy bar.
He nearly dropped him doing that.

Are the Schlecks aiming to win this race by gaining 2 to 20 seconds on every summit?
I'm not sure that attacking with 300 metres to go is great way to win.
Maybe they will do a Sastre and do it in one big attack on Alpe D'Huez?

^^ I also think that it looked very desperate from Schlecks. I think Contador might do that. I reckon he is playing defensive game at the moment with a bit of bluffing keeping others at fairly safe distance and will launch a massive attack in the Alps leaving others with no stages to respond on.
