  • How dare they. Slow! And I bet they aren't even real cycle sport fans.

  • I soloed to work in full OPL kit today. I felt like a complete tit. Then I had to wait around in the lobby for a shower key.

If you're going to wear a team jersey, you should be able to back it up. If not, just wear some endura effort etc.

  • I sometimes commute in a US Postal Service jersey.

This would be cool if you had a train of domestiques.

  • If you're going to wear a team jersey, you should be able to back it up. If not, just wear some endura effort etc.

Really?! I don't type it often, but... lol!

The worst of all worlds is endura etc, but in yellow. People wearing that gear always have at least one pannier.

  • A Katusha rider positive? Never.

Kolobnev sacked by Katusha. Quelle surprise.

Andy, you're just too innocent for this world. :)

  • Why is good cycling gear so expensive btw? Must be a serious gap in the market for someone to offer quality but reasonably priced jerseys and knicks. Or do Rapha hunt down anyone with that idea and exterminate them?

  • I see a lot of portly commuters in Radio Shack jerseys. I wonder.."why?"

They want to be General Lucifer but got in there too late?

use the search and it'll enlighten you

  • use the search and it'll enlighten you

    I'm still un-enlightened.

Can you dispense more wisdom and tell me a term to use? Or is this like scientology where you have to pay for the next level of insight?

  • Reminds me of the bit in the Millar book where he contemplates nicking one of Lance's wc jerseys.

  • Man, who's buyibing Millar's book?

  • Love cycling.
    Love Lance.

    Sorry, but arse.

Buy bargins. I paid £15 for an out of date Rabobank jersey last year. I have feck all idea who rode for them at that time. Might have been Rasmussen, come to think about it. :S

  • Best bargin to date?

Contrador Keo max II pedals after the latest scandal. LOLs

  • Poor old Popovych; did not start the stage due to elevated haematocrit temperature.

Is the book a good read?

i refuse to spend good money for commuting, only in the saddle for 30 mins max, two pair of iQ bib shorts ebay taiwan import $20 they look and feel rubbish but do the job might last a year, replica jerseys generally and ancient assos climafit jacket (+5 years old).. castelli bib shorts reasonably priced, look good not sure they will last..

i prefer to invest in assos for the serious stuff, essential for century rides, belgian cobbles, alp tours..

..seeing riders content with laps of regents park, on +£3,000 bikes, wearing head to toe rapha appears complete nonsense imho.

  • Is the book a good read?

Just got it but good so far. I like him though, which helps I guess.

  • Hoogerland on the bike today. Proper. Sean Kelly's analysis was brilliant "If you fall into a barbed wire fence, it can upset your form a bit". Salient point Sean.

  • Is the book a good read?

It is really good. It is a pretty honest, well written account of his career. Love or hate him, he has led a fascinating life.

I might make Assos my brand of choice in future when making quality purchases.

  • Assos is for Euro gimps.
