Agarve nectar is fructose. It's also expensive!
I gave up sugar in my tea ages ago. Just stop putting it in and HTFU. You'll get used to it really quickly.
Giving up tea, that's hard.
oh sorry I forgot the rule about not posting unless it said something about how hard you were. Tool

i am trying to cut back too - now use agarve nectar (wanky name) in my tea. supposed to be better for you. who knows?

there's nothing wrong with sugar, if used in excessive amounts like anything else it may become harmful, after all didn't graeme obree survive on sugar and bread when he was broke?
however, if you wish to substitute sugar for another natural product why not try honey. -

That job seems to have been taken on by you now. Good luck.

anybody tried stevia?
-
• #39
It's spelled "sativa". I reccommend it in coffee and tea as a sugar substitute.
-
• #40
Stevia is excellent for diabetics - it's effects on insulin secretion is minimal.

"insulin secretion"
I love it when you talk dirty..

Read about that^ in a vegan cookbook. Was going to grow some but then saw loads of conflicting info on the internet about it. Some say it's good for you some say it's very bad. Anyone eaten any and not died?
If so it being 30(?) times sweeter than sugar how does it work? DO you dry it or eat it fresh?

I've just been to Morrisons and bought three tins of custard.
-
• #44
As a sugar replacement?
-
• #45
Birds, Ambrosia or own brand?
-
• #46
One of each for a taste test?
-
• #47
Two tins of Birds and one carton of Morrisons fancy-schmancy vanilla custard. They will all be gone by the end of the weekend. I have a serious custard problem.
I don't have sugar in my tea though. -
• #48
Birds to go in crumble/pie
Ambrosia on its own, possibly straight from the can.
-
• #49
Aspartame. Take as much as possible to rid yourself of that poison called sugar!
