I am meeting Pifko at something like 2pm at Waterloo, then I have to go home, pack my stuff in the bike, change the tyres etc. I will almost certainly be catching the train to Redhill because I won't have enough time otherwise.

If it is a democratic process, I cast my vote for the train out of London (don't enjoy riding in exhaust fumes, between buses and white vans...).

Each to his own? We can just meet at Redhill... Like I said, I probably won't have time to ride it all.

so is everyone (except gerald who i saway) coming to the jon snow tonight for oute planning and a beer?

:( Eurostar not an option? I'll probably be up for a Fri - Sun trip in about a month's time, the knee should be better by then. Just sending an email to see if anyone else is crazy enough to come at such short notice.

How about the Top Gear style bike challenge? Doing the ride with a £50 (excl. post) bike off ebay/gumtree.

It's more the £150/day hire I'd be worried about.

jesus. i thought they were suppose to be encouraging the uptake of cycling.
still, i guess sliding cost scale is to encourage users to return the bikes for others to use.

new plan, we dress up like late 90's dotcom guys and ride microscooters to brighton.

And if anyone needs a hand in Paris I'll be about all weekend, probably playing at being a roadie in the mornings. Maybe an off-roadie if I can be arsed to fix the mtb...anyhoo, I'll be about.
