Big Bush Bears vs JAH
This was a great fixture to watch with both teams battling hard... Josh owned the first game and couldn't seem to put a foot wrong. The bears then re-grouped and played well as a team in the second game to pull it back. The final game looked like it was going to JAH until Julia put a ball away with 30 seconds to go. Nice.

Spring Break vs Heythrop Lions
Well played Heythrop, you're improving in leaps and bounds. Luke got an awesome goal in the second game when he caught Kevin and I sleeping. I doff my cap to Adam's shots throughout the fixture, the boy done good. Big props to Kevin for stepping in too (Ryan couldn't make it due to Scotland touring).

Heh, Adam's goal would've been 2 seconds or so I reckon in "real time", blistering charge to Tomasitio-style shot, went through the air and straight through the keeper, John had 1 second on the clock, legend.

sorry, completely misread that.. and only saw the 10 sec goal

The rules from League I have been found.
-
• #1837
Matt, that are OLD rules, the current ones are in the london bike polo page, at the botton

For fucks sake Matt, give it a rest. What do you want to do - get Dave to play with a broken leg?
-
• #1839
& Bill, just because those tags aren't as cruel as some other tags on this forum, it is supposed to make it okay?
How can someone make a joke out of this?

As I clearly stated, Rik, those are the rules from League I.
I was surprised to find that this rule was not carried over into the League II rules. There was no explicit rule about requiring two team members to be present at every game.

Matt, Aidan quiet polo, Dave has a broken leg.... what do you B to do? quiet the league?
he is doing what he can, I think. Give him some slack -
• #1842
Just establishing that there is in fact a tradition to only subbing one person per team. And i have spoken with quite a few people who were sure the rule was also in League II, although apparently it is not. That is all.

ok Matt, you have make your point and it is valid, I agree with you, now anwser my question,
what do you B to do? (with reference to play with 2 subs) -

he is doing what he can, I think. Give him some slackRik, I think its quite clear what Brendan was asked to do.
Also, Brendo.. i know its been a bit crazy for you but, i think you should pick two players and stick with them for the playoffs, for the sake of fairness.
But seriously Matt, thanks for posting the old rules for clarity. But pack it in.

he is doing what he can, I think. Give him some slackI am just stating some facts. I did not even mention Brendan when I posted today (and I certainly have not ever mentioned Dave in any of this).
As has been written very clearly by at least three different people on this forum in the last three days (representing three different teams), some people would like Brendan to pick two permanent players for the playoffs. He could, of course, sub for one at any time.
Rik: We have been giving him slack the entire league. No one has brought it up. That is a lot of slack. But thanks for your input from Berlin.

Big props to Kevin for stepping in too
No worries, although I am still very out of practice, and fearful/panicky of challenges.
Heythrops should be given some sort of contributor/achievement award by the league at the end. They've turned up to every scheduled game afaik, playing against well established teams but never dropping their heads, and improving. Fair play to them.
