No amount of pushing and shoving and grunting with the chain wrapped around the cog & frame was taking the 22t cog off for the Heythrops (and yes I was doing it in the right direction!).
Will bring it to a shop tomorrow.

I think I've got a 19 and a 21 that are a bit knackered and I'd give away for free... Is that big enough?
When are they next playing?
-
• #1709
I'd say a 21t would be OK. At the moment they're playing with 15t fixed sprockets, so anything to help them get their gi's down a bit would be beneficial
Eduardes is closer to me, I'll try them first.

Yeah I do get it, I did it before (for tightening, not loosening).
The chain was wrapped up and I was turning the wheel clockwise so the pull on the chain was dragging the sprocket anti-clockwise. Not budging. But its also possible that I dont have the necessary strength any more to put sufficient torque on it with two broken collarbones.
A bench vice should / will do it.

Go steady though, I snapped a chain stay doing what I think you're talking about.

Dogma or Pie vs JAK
3-1
Prav 5:11
Rob 7:33
Ed 7:53
Prav 9:550-1
Rob 1:022-4
John 1:33
Andy 4:55
Andy 6:20
Ed 6:34
Rob 6:50
Kieran 9:00This was very much a fixture of three halves. The first game was dominated by the Pies, though until Prav scored in the dieing seconds JAK still had the chance of a point.
The second game was the opposite, Rob scored early, and JAK dominated the game. They were very unlucky not to get a second goal, a shot hit Prav, who was in goal, on the foot or pedal, bounced up, rolled over his arms, and fell back down the other side of the goal line. Then JAK managed to have 3 down at the same time, Ed and John headed for an open goal, but somehow Ed managed to shuffle the ball through the goal, and by the time he had got the ball back round it was too late.
The third game was much more equal, both team had chances, and in an amazing 30 seconds 3 goals were scored, before JAK took a two goal lead with a minute to go, and almost scored a 5th in the final seconds.
But the star of the show was a drunk who was watching, and kept asking who was in charge, as he had something to contribute, though didn't want to reveal what that was. Then when Andy dropped his mallet he kept shouting "A soldier who drops his weapon is a dead soldier".

Good quote for a polo t-shirt.

Brilliant. John = David Coleman.
Thanks to everyone for all the support we got, despite losing again :P, Really enjoyed the two games and really up for the next match, we've got another polo bike on the way (little luke, 'the bike figurene or something on the forum, is building some polo masterpiece in his shed, freewheel apparently) and with help from the union we should have another loaner bike made up by the end of march. Whilst big luke is building his up as well, josh is getting his sorted pretty soon! So soon we should be in polo shape. Really enjoyed our time playing polo so far, thanks again for all the support we've had.
