  • Nice Touch v Big Bush Bears - Saturday - 12pm Newington.

JAH, would you be interested in playing on Saturday as well?

    JAH here.

"Saturday" as in today? Sorry guys, some of us are ill and/or injured at the moment. Plus, takes a couple of day notice to mobilise the JAH-Heads. Would have been nice to get another 15-0 beating out of the way though ;-)

Is some time in the new year good for you guys?

  • Cam - yup.

    JAH - no worries,

  • can anyone come down to ref, please!?

  • I just looked out the window, this could get "interesting"...

  • Fuckin' heck. Getting down might be an adventure in itself. Last night there was some intense black ice on the side roads. Ah well! Good excuse to get out and play in the snow like when we were kids!

  • You should play at downham! Smallest court, easiest to clear!

  • God luck, guys... I got covered in an inch of snow just riding down to the shops a little while ago... ;D

  • *resists posting about speed of travel

  • Nice Touch vs BBB postponed due to adverse weather conditions.

  • pussies

  • Nice Touch were all present and correct, along with Tom.

A guy who lived nearby saw me clearing the court at about 11am with a cone and came over to have a chat. 10 minutes later he came back with a snowplough he'd made me out of 2x4. So awesome. Shame it was falling faster than it could be cleared, but it was super fun to play in.

Then I rode back home again. To Barnes.

  • ^ Heroic... So it's official, BBB are pussies...

  • Well done James.

I sat at home in front of a roaring fire and watched the football.

I'm guessing Downham won't be playable tomorrow either ?

  • Tom was there, and Adrienne and Julia both were on there way. But it was pretty pointless. It would have been pretty silly to play a league game where the ball can't roll. And after DT's fall, is it worth taking the chance?

  • No, a very sensible decision by all concerned... It was pretty horrific out there early this afternoon...

  • Yeah, the Skids - Zombies game was a bit of a joke and could have ended in a similar accident. Good decision.

I think safety does always come first over a league game. The snow was pretty mental today!

  • You guys are all so grown up. We played in the snow and it was super fun.

Until next time BBB, until next time.

  • I still want to play in the snow. God damn it.

  • ^ hoser fail

  • ^ fauxser fail

  • the ride down in the morning was fine

the polo was epic. (powerslides and teeing off the charge and snowballs and 'the mohawk effect')

    the ride home was disgusting.

  • Jeeez! That's barely recognisable as Newt... :S

  • Snowlo!

    Votes are in.

I thought it was a great game ;)

But no, that was almost unplayable, sensible decision this time.
