• I was going to go for it, but the problem I have is I run 23c on one of my bike and 28c on another. Specialized's tube being 23c ? -28c is therefore a better solution for me.

  • -reply got posted twice...

  • Beware those tubes, I got them when they were £15/10 back in the summer and 50% of them split along the seam when they got to just 80psi and the rest blew after a week or so. Binned the lot after the 4th one went, too much hassle. Maybe a duff batch of course, but a shame since they were a good price.

  • Hummmm... I have never had any problem with specialized tubes, in fact, the very same inner tubes have been on my wheels for must be over a year now.

  • The CRC ones not the specializeds.

  • I'm on my second batch of these "Airwave" tubes. Bought a load of Fleabay mid last year. Had no prob;ems at all. I run the 25 - 32mm tubes in everything from 23 to 30mm.

  • Still £21 too much if you want to enjoy playing it.

  • Mate bought the airwaves tubes from CRC, didn't even reach 20 PSI.

  • I got through an airwave 10-pack depressingly quickly too, mostly ruptured at the seam near the valve.
Maybe it's worth a punt in case you get a good batch, but I'm not bothering again.

  • I've been using the Airwaves for at least 2 years now. On my second box. Have been pretty impressed with them. Never once had a case of the splitting down the seams some have reported.

I would not trust a shop that had no real world contact details.

Usually, at the very least, if they have their own website then at least the domain name has some contact details.

But this, using bigcartel.com, and having zero contact details, and unlike Etsy not having bigcartel.com become responsibly for the transaction in any way... I would steer clear.

If there was real contact information, if they used a provider that offered guarantees about service levels and refunds should you not receive the item... then sure.

But that site lacks all info, even if they're real you should steer clear.

Hell, there's more contact info on LFGSS and this isn't even a shop.

  • yeah, they do have a second domain

    http://distance-cycles.eu/

but it also lacks further infos so far.

i´m not going to order anyway just thought maybe it was a good source.

the guys´ answer was quite professional and inspiring confidence, so..

  • Still hiding contact info though.

    Registrant: NOT DISCLOSED!

They've used domain privacy to hide who they are, and still no info on the site.

Unless you know you can trust someone and a website, don't order from them.

If you don't know who they are, where they are or how to contact them if something goes wrong, then you have no basis to trust. Without a basis for trust, don't order from them.

They could be lovely and charming in an email, but you have no idea who it is or where they are. Conmen can be persuasive... you have no info to suggest they're not. Therein lies the problem.

There are many sites out there, and many good traders, but there are far more sharks and conmen. The good guys should be obviously different, if they're hiding their contact details and are effectively untraceable... you should be assuming they're the bad guys.

If they want to put it right, then they should put contact details up, state their returns policy and privacy policy, and quit acting so shady.

If running a blog for a couple of months is all that is required for you to consider handing over some money, then let me just pop over to Wordpress and I'll be back in a couple of months.

    Reminder to all: Caveat emptor.

This is the internets, do you know who you're trading with?

  • yeah ure right. kind of dodgy.

    nothing more to say..

  • Which could be a good time for me to sort of spam. :)
