  • Wiggle:

40% off Muc-Off and White Lightning's Wet Ride lube. Also 40% off the Cateye Strada wireless which is a great computer (not that computers are very popular on this forum).

  • Cyclis Bicycles.
There's no store at the moment, but it's basically me!
I'm helping my lbs Vaidas Bicycles with an online sales, and we've set up a sister company to deal with this.
I'll be setting up an eBay store in the new year but wanted to offer the forum discounted stuff.

Basically, If you want any new parts, drop me at PM at Cyclis and I'll see if I can get it cheap for you.

    :)

  • Freshtripe, cause he send me a free Yancosaurusrex belt beer holder and a t-shirt two sizes too big (but goddamned soft) as a gift for my service, top mark lad!

  • He'll get you a small Tee if you ask.
+1, Jamie is awesome. Favourite site.

What's a Yancosaurusrex belt beer holder? Do you mean the 'chalk bag'?

I think I need one of these...

    That's pretty awesome.

Where are the hip flask holders, eh? That's what we need.

  • That the one I have, a great little product, not in their site anymore which might explain why he's eager to shift them.

  • Has anyone been unlucky enough to have experienced missing packages ordered from CRC? My order should have arrived yesterday the latest as it was sent last week. I have checked with my local sorting office and nothing. I am about to contact CRC tomorrow but wondering if anyone has dealt with them before with missing packages? If the worst comes to the worst, do they send out replacement fairly quick? Just that my order was quite expensive, so I slightly am worried about having to settle the bill and wait forever to have my items. Thanks

Christmas and Bank Holidays would possibly have delayed it?

  • I would have thought that but all my other packages (inlcuidng the ones orded after) have all arrived through all sorts (normal 1st class, tracked, city link etc). The only other possibility is the weather, has the weather been bad in N Ireland this past week?

  • ^ I think that's where their warehouse is?

  • They are pretty good at rectifying any kind of problem. If it was sent by a tracked service, they should either be able to find it or the carrier will have to admit they've lost it; either way, your problem should be solved pretty quickly. If it's not tracked (i.e. normal post), I think you have to wait a couple of weeks before the package is presumed dead.

  • It was only sent with normal 1st class. I guess I'd just have to wait patiently then. I have never really dealt with their custome service before so am a little worried as some companies are shit at this. On side note, after over a dozen complaints to Snail Mail, they seem to have imporveed their service, to my household at least. Hence the double worries... Should have had it posted to the office instead... Dammit!

  • Ribble sale is pretty good - new campy record chainsets at £164 with bb's, headsets and hubs all with at least 25% off - http://www.ribblecycles.co.uk/sp/road-track-bike/Campagnolo-Record-Pista-Track-Chainset/CAMPCHAT200

  • I've been searching for a new bike to get started with the whole Single Speed scene. I know theres a whole 20 odd page thread about Langsters, but for under £350 it's surely worth a punt:

    http://www.myspokes.co.uk/specialized-langster-blk-wht-49cm-61cm-2011

    and

    http://www.myspokes.co.uk/specialized-langster-steel-chrm-blk-49cm-61cm-2011

Chiswick is my local branch and they seem to be quite knowledgeable, but i've not purchased anything from them before...

  • The Langster is a fine first SS bike. Go for it.

And whilst the Chiswick branch is small, they seem to be doing a pretty good job so I can't imagine you'd have any problem for them.

I'd say go for it on both counts.

  • Ideally I am loking for a Trek District 2. If anyone knows any bike shops that are offering (ideally a) 56cm or a 58cm frame District 2 for less than Evans Cycles (£399), then I'd love to know about it. Many thanks

  • Good prices at velodrome.org

    Look 464 AL P frame for £600

    http://www.velodromeshop.net/index.php?p=product&id=875

I got mine before christmas at £750 - I feel robbed!!

  • I paid £571.99 from cyclelane 16 months ago
    #smugbastard

velodromeshop can't decide what their frames' spec is

Neither frame nor fork are drilled for brakes....it comes pre-drilled for brakes

  • Ribble have 105 spd sl at £33 a pair at the moment. Pick them up before the vultures descend and put them on eBay for £30 without cleats.
