Yeah, that's my nearest guess too. Still, it doesn't detract from the fury of that sprint.
I had the honour of watching Cipollini and Erik Zabel duking it out is Spain one year, and though it was good it just didn't have that rawness caught in the Hinault image. -

It's the near identical facial expressions that does it for me. There's nothing in it, endless miles and they can't get a gnats pube between em. They're even sucking air into their lungs in exactly the same way!
