You know I think I heard of a tandem courier couple in New York. I won't vouch for the veracity of the story but it could make for an interesting arrangement.

Alexander: to be blunt your idea is not a good one. It's not very practical, for one thing, and for another if you had made this request on Moving Target (which is an actual courier site unlike LFGSS) then you would just have been mocked. There is no way to see if you are up to the job except to do the job. And you will be knackered when you first start so following someone round for a day isn't going to tell you anything useful really. And that is assuming you could even find anyone who would want you following them round which I doubt.
Other things to consider: can you afford to live off the typical low wage that couriers earn? Do you actually know your way round London? Have you ever talked to any couriers?
So, really, either get a job as a courier or don't, there's no half way house. And don't talk to MaxCrowe. -

Think of the free lunch, Will.

Just find one and follow them round ;)

Stalk max for a day? He'd probably not notice, and he is tall enough to be visible above most traffic.

Just find one and follow them round ;)I might have done this a little already :D

I haven't ever been a courier, but it strikes me that if you have to ask then being a courier may not be best suited to you.

Paint a toilet roll black, selotape it to your helmet, hang around the steps near Carnaby street until you find one, then tell them you're filming a documentary about dying trades in the UK and can you follow them around town for the day.
Presto! -

Good point Balki, Will clearly hasn't thought this through, the OP said free lunch but not where. I'm thinking The Ivy.

Stalking Max for the day at the moment would involve sitting around on the sofa watching re-runs of the Fresh Prince and playing skate games on X box.

I am working, just been off for a bit lately.
Will, cheers for your post, exactly what I was thinking of saying in retaliation to "follow Max around".
Anyway if I can do it, anyone can.

You better be earning something Max, I might have something of interest to you soon. ;]
Hello Everyone!
I have a kind of strange request, but hear me out hahahahaha
I am wondering if I could follow a courier around for the day to see if I would be able to do the hours and be fit enough to do it as a job.
I would not be a pain and If I really sucked I would leave you to it, also beers and a LMNH lunch would be thrown into the mix if someone was willing to let me do this lil experiment of mine.
So there it is, feel free to laugh and poke fun I am expecting it ha ha
but if maybe someone would not mind i would greatly appreciate it
Thanks in advance
Alex
