not sure if it was a rider or a passer by who has died en route of the PBP? Their live feed seems to suggest this but can't find any other information. Poor fellow.

At Fougères (921km). Pretty relentless, only had 3 hours sleep but going ok.
Cant wait to finish and chop the bike into pieces. Photos of 5653 may contain LFGSS cap.

Ian finished in 79 hours. I clearly forgot to calculate that he might have wanted some sleep closer to the end. :)

Knee buggered.
Recovering in south of France while gf works on large hadron style whizzbang machine. The organisers, volunteers and support services made the ride possible and good, the spectators along the way made it brilliant. All the way round we were treated like legends and heros, admired for our spirit and respected for our sense of adventure. When I get back to England I'm going to start slapping British people until they start showing some character.

Congratulations to G-Bitch. Frame no.7125.

.......and of course to all the other mad, crazy fools.

Round in 61 hours 48 minutes. Made the mistake of waiting to sleep at Carhaix on the way back and discovered that the main field had decided to do the same, after 30 minutes under a table decided to get back on my bike and press on. Got round with well under an hour's sleep, the hallucinations towards the end weren't pleasant nor was forgetting why I was there.
In my mind the Bryan Chapman is the better event although it's hard to make a direct comparison given the differences in scale. If the spectators make PBP then the scenery of the BCM more than compensates.

Many congratulations Gem, Greenbank, Seldom Killer and all who finished - just amazing! The hallucinations will linger for a while yet... Very well done.
