  • Jonny mate, what time are you rolling over to brixton, might follow you there. (Currently sorting things in bike shop, almost running late, but not yet)

  • I so should have cleaned or changed my chain this week. It's an absolute disgrace. Don't stand too close. It looks contagious. Again, see y'all in an hour. Leaving home now via a cafe for some sausage and egg sarnie goodness with red sauce, natch. :)

  • Me plus one, one way

  • Scoble doesn't do long rides, moustache bars are no good on the hills

  • Just got up, other half has made a big fry up, there is no way I can't sit down and eat it, I didn't have any dinner last night... Have fun!

  • @shoots 'best be there' comment. No. I best give my family the father they bought and paid for.

    Hope the bike is nice!

Have fun you lot. I'm pretty gutted to miss it.

  • Where do you live, Fox? I'm coming over!

    he does/did.
    wimbledon - condor - wimbledon

    without sweating.

  • Currently sitting on a motionless train somewhere between Herne Hill and Brixton. Fine, apart from the fact that it's not stopping anywhere until Victoria. If I'm not there at 11 just leave and I will catch you up.

    Multi tool? Bueller?

  • i don't haz one dude. i've got allen keys. i'm sure someone will have one.

  • I didn't feel a thing. : )

5 months and 5 hrs later, and the Ti cat is purring.
I look fwd to stretching the legs.

Yeah, full steam, erm, *ahead *:/

  • Anybody cycling back Sunday morning?

  • Where do you live, Fox? I'm coming over!

I ate EVERYTHING. Soz. The fried bread with goose fat was amazing.

  • And the winner of ditching beacon sprint is...

  • me cos I haz ben in brighton since midday.

  • I'm interested to know how long this took you all. I'm well in for one of these, but reckon I need to up my stamina some more.

  • Nice to meet you all - gutted I couldn't do the ride but good to have some beers with everyone

    Robin

  • The ride
Not slow by any means. Apart from up that hill.

  • 3.6 mph on 84" sounds about right ;)

  • I'm back in londons famous London, one of the best forum rides I've ever been on.

Thanks to the organisers (and back stops for looking out for me on the hills).

We rolled into Brighton at about 4, so about 5 hours (Inc stops) I'll get my housemate to download his gamin stats with the full report later...

I'm too slow at typing, thanks for loadin

  • Probably doing it again tomorrow if anyone wants to come along.

  • 3.6 mph on 84" sounds about right ;)

Would have been quicker to walk. But I didn't!

(Also, we had a lovely diversion around Haywards Heath.)

  • Looks great, I'll steal that route for future use.

Did you all get to Brighton without the forum curse rearing its head?

  • No punctures. Des managed to pop a chain coming up Ditchling (the man puts out far too much power, I tell you), but with spare links and a chain tool all was well.
And we all (36 forumengers on the loose) got there pretty much together, which was good going too.
