  • These were pickled a few days ago and are probably 6-8cm long.

  • Maybe an old greenhouse base?

  • This was covered on Gardeners World last Friday!

  • Cheer both.

    Will check our GW.

It was that the flowers were still showing on the bottom and... I guess lack of ripeness(?) Whereas the ones I grew in France when I was little looked "ready" from very small.

  • MD says you can pick them anytime.

Altho after seeing the size of his plants I now feel woefully inadequate. More feed and more water needed I think!

  • I have to say the ones we grow don't have flowers.

  • Trying to work out when to pick my gherkins...

    Euph, Shirley?

Everyone's got you covered, I used to buy mine at the market and pickle them at home... Now I just buy them in a jar from Costco, which is a bit of a fail... #csb

  • Sweetcorn coming along. Ran out of space in the back garden so had to plant it in front

  • I hope the neighbors like them

  • My blackberry got scorched yesterday, google says they’re still edible but I’m a bit peeved because they were just about ready.

  • World War Two vibes!! Love it, I'm determined to grow more food next year, hoping our new little bee friends will aid with pollination, etc...

  • Tomatoes doing well this year. Can anyone help with the varietal?

  • They have the look of a cuore di bue or something similar.

  • Looks like a match alright. Was gifted the seedlings so never knew what I was growing!

  • Does anyone know what I can do with this apple tree - its about one metre high and its a pain trying to cut grass around or under it and keep weeds at bay. It came with the house when we moved in about 3 and 1/2 years ago and doesn't seem to want to grow. I'm imagining its been this size for some time?
