Thanks again everyone for a great day out...
Cheers Fran and Wools for marshalling / backstop duties and thanks
to Peter for organising and leading the rabble that is a forum ride.
How many laps of the roundabout did we do?
The deer thing was a little like this but with cycles instead
of motor bikes and less van halen (it was just behind me so only
heard rustle in the trees followed by a yelp then rustle on the other side.

The deer out there are lovely. Usually it's them who get startled, not the bike riders. :)

I just woke up to find that some bastard stole my front wheel, saddle + seatpost +saddle bag and other brooks saddles from my flatmates' bike.. Obviously the thief has a taste :-(

If you don't have the need to play around with parts on a regular basis, glue in some ball bearings in the allen key wholes thingies of all the bolts and screws etc. -

Normally I go around with wee little cables all around the wheels and saddle but I was just toooo tired yesterday locked only the frame and rear.

Ah, thanks! that will be a big help as this was my everyday commuting bike. I'll drop you a pm cheers :-)
Not gonna let this little thief ruin my closure of this week. I'm going to stay in positive mind. I mean it's better than the whole bike getting stolen, and it happened after the ride not before!

^ Admirable. I'd be fucking raging! :)
According to Ed, it's the safest way to ride a track bike. In circles.
