And race, you big blouse.

But I don't want to do either of those things! I just want another bike.

Although I'd forgotten how much fun messing about on the track was until the track day on sunday reminded me of the good times.

Maybe don't get a Canyon Track though ...

You are on the right way. Had a chat with a nice chap yesterday who gave up racing in his early twenties. His answer to my question why he gave it up were especially poignant.
A bit like Niki Lauda: "Ich habe genug vom Im-Kreis-Fahren."

Going round in circles is strangely addictive. I want to race track but I don't have a bike or the time at the moment, so I'm going cold turkey.

I think this young man was referring to Hillingdon and Crystal Palace.

It would help if you didn't just write stuff in German all the time.

It's always a gamble as to whether it's worth the translate or not, but this one was relevant. Almost covered by my two terms of pre-GCSE German, in fact.

Thinking of selling my Canyon to fund building up my BMC frame. Anyone interested, let me know and I will do a proper sale thread.
Hmm could be - though like the BMC not sure if it's a little big...

It's a little bit too big for me from an aesthetic point of view, but I can get the contact points in the right place. I think you would have the same problem (or slightly worse).

Where's the cheapest place to pick up some black 1,25" spacers? Can't seem to find any on Canyons homepage.

Harsh but fair!

Canyon customer service is pretty boss. Fault occured on Thursday eve. New frame in the post today!

I've always found their customer service good too - very helpful with general queries on sizing etc.

Have we seen the Bikeradar thread about cracking Ultimate CF SLX seat tubes? About 10 owners have said their's have had same issue possibly caused by the seatposts.
This was after one ride

Hmmm, mine was an issue with the aeroroad and a bolt shearing. Again around the seatpost area though, and having had an engineer look at it, he believes the design itself is pretty flawed. The seatpost gives a large amount of mechanical advantage and therefore huge amounts of stress on the bolts holding. One for MDCC tester i suspect.
