Ha! Was a good ride, really enjoyed it.
Any ideas who that group was we passed going out of Trowse? Spotted them on the way home, one was on a green & white cinelli mash.
Will be bringing the steel out next time...

Mash is harbercue on here, no idea about the others though.

yeah that was me on the mash and youch Si riviere on the pink fixed and a few of our mates on their gears.
-
• #981
Gears?! Surely not!
-
• #982
Ah I didn't recognise Si without his old bike. We should totally combine forces for a ride sometime - the next Dandy ride is scheduled for the last weekend of August if you, Si and the bunch are interested?
-
• #983
I will definitely be there for that one!
-
• #984
Yeah lets combine forces! Super keen for getting out more with everyone!
-
• #985
Awesome! Great to see peoples still rocking it! I still need some bits before i dare ride again!

Im having a break from 15 days in a row work stint next wednesday, would be well up for a ride then if anyone else is keen? Possibly even just a quick 30 mile spin.
edit; just realised this isnt the wandom wides thread but the point still stands x

• #987
I'll be up for that, off all day next weds
-
• #988
I'm off next week so might be up for a ride. Does depend on childcare issues/household chore load etc but a cheeky 30 miler would be good. Might rock gears for a change.

I can do evenings next week if people head out - not Tuesday though, cause I finish at 7. Let's make sure this one actually happens this time!

"There's only one huuddooo"

"And it's Chriiiis Hudson, Chris Hudson FC; the greatest starter of lists Norwich has ever seen"
Too much?

Never.
Huddo are ya??

I'd be up for a Wednesday Ride. Moving that evening and won't have internet, might as well go for a ride! Up for some MTB action anytime too

• #995
Haha, starting a list in the vague hope that a Norwich LFGSS ride may one day happen...

• #996
Just realised I'm working for Rapha next week and probably travelling Wednesday eve... D'oh

Possible New Shit
I currently have this '97 Kona Koa, which is excellent fun
I have the opportunity to purchase this '96(?) Kili Comp frameset
I only have room for one mtb, and as far as I can tell, the Saracen weighs up as follows.
Pros:
- Decent steel. Tange MTB(??)/Prestige DB tubing, Ritchey dropouts
^ - tougher construction
^ - better ride (?????) - Better fit for me (1" longer TT, 2" longer ST, 2.5cm longer HT)
- Quite classy
Cons:
- Heavier (probably)
- Even shorter forks (385 vs 400 as best as I could tell)
- Forks maybe not as good as P2s (though I don't have the triple butted)
- Not outrageously orange
- Not a Kona
I think I will buy it anyway and build it up and see, but give me your thoughts because I desire validation.

I was going to say I was surprised that frameset is still around, but considering it was at the Links when I joined, and I was there a few months after they opened, I think the thing came with the lease!
It is cool though - but many have offered to buy it (Rikki and myself included) and none ever have, maybe it's a bad sign...
I was too busy eating roast duck
